17 year old Alex Mercer was seething as yet again his meticulous plans were dealt with by those damnable Supersons. Otherwise known as Damian Wayne and Jon Kent. A trivial matter to actually find out their identities for someone like him who never really subscribed to the ridiculous notions seemingly etched into the very fabric that was the dance the universe seemed so in tune with. He lets out a hiss of breath through his teeth as he turns to the rest of his secret underground lab filled with various test tubes and samples from both heroes and villains, a corkboard chock full of pictures from various relevant beings to his experiment as well as the origin of his laboratory guinea pig. The origin of all viral life and thus everything else on the planet. The Redlight virus that was even now making viral offshoots and illnesses that would make the Black Plague seem like a mild cold, each second making thousands of different mutations on the fly. With the progress he's been making and his expertise in virology plus the various super samples he's managed to acquire, it would only need a bit more time for his goal to be achieved.

A cold smirk warped his face as his pale blue eyes lit up with malicious intent as he eyed his nemesises.

It was only a matter of time before he successfully made his magnum opus, codenamed Blacklight. Once that was complete nothing and no one would be able to stop him.

18 year old Damian Wayne, the latest in the long line of Robins, contemplated his latest string of solo outings in Gotham as he waited impatiently for Jon to get back from a humanitarian aid joint venture with his father Superman on the other side of the Galaxy after they dealt with an invasion from Apokalips.

He sighed inaudibly, not wanting to be teased for being a typical angsty teenager by the older members of the Batfamily, he almost blushed in embarrassment remembering how deep he was in that mindset when he started as a Robin at the tender age of 10.

He shook his head as his heads up display issued an alert of yet another mugging in Gotham. He almost rolled his eyes at it before moving rapidly from rooftop to rooftop to stop the crime in action. Just because Gotham was the 2nd most crime ridden place in the world it didn't mean even something as common as a mugging could be looked at as unimportant. That's how he lost his grandparents on his father's side and was the event that gave birth to Batman after all.

The takedown of the muggers went as standard and was done in the usual efficient method of the latest Robin, taking care to not be too rough so as not to traumatize the victim of the crime as he did so. Unfortunately the task that made such a choice easy, being raised by the deadliest female assassin in the world aka his mother Talia Al Goul, was not enough to anticipate the fact the frail old woman he was helping up off the ground actually injected him with fast acting knock out virons. He was out like a light before he even realized anything was wrong.

The now 18 year old Alex smirked at the still unconscious Damian Wayne, still wearing his suit as he sat tied to a chair, Alex completely unconcerned with the fact as he idly used his new abilities he's had for 6 months already to get rid of the knockout drug from his system. As he waited for the boy wonder to wake up he went through the new node of his Web of Intrigue he now has access to after copying Damian's mind while he was being transported.

By the time Damian regained consciousness Alex already had a fully laid out plan to get the perfect revenge while achieving his goals. If Alex was the sort to do so he'd have laughed at the glare Damien was shooting him upon gaining awareness of his situation.

"Don't tell me, you're a up and coming supervillain thinking taking out a Robin would get you into the big leagues right?"

Alex rolled his eyes as he stood up from the chair he was sitting on in the empty warehouse they were in.
