Tom POV
TW: Smut and Mentions of Self Harm
Heat radiates off her cheeks as I gently pull back, looking her in the eyes. "Rae, I'm in love with you. I have been since we were sixteen. There was never a right time to tell you, and I've been holding everything in for way too long." I blurt out as she stares at me with a blank expression. She's silent for a few seconds, making my anxiety shoot through the roof until a smile creeps onto her face. "I know." she finally says, her eyebrows turning upwards as she smiles. I stare back at her, wondering who told her and how she found out. "You know? How come you didn't tell me?" I ask quietly, rather embarrassed. She lets out a short giggle as she brings her hand up to my cheek, caressing my face gently.
"You uh, kinda pocket-dialed me before you came over. I heard everything you told Nate." She says with a smirk. I let out a sigh and sit back against the couch, my mind starts to reel. She sits up and leans towards me, holding my hand in hers. "If it makes you feel any better, I feel the same way. I have for a really long time. There was always something in the way, and every time I wanted to tell you, you had started seeing someone else." She says quietly. I raise an eyebrow at her and smirk as my cheeks burn.
"You do? I haven't dated anyone in quite some time, I only lied to get Nate off my back about hanging out with you so much. Every time I was with another girl, I would feel like I was cheating on you even though we were never together, so I stopped dating after graduation." I admit as I scooch closer to her. Her expression doesn't change after hearing my words. "I've been waiting a long time for you to make the first move. I didn't want to, just in case you didn't feel the same way," she says quietly, making my heart break. I knew I should have just told her how I felt back in high school, but fucking Nate got in the way of that.
"I have something to tell you though, and I just hope it doesn't change how you feel about me, Tommy..." She says nervously. I nod, watching her lift the sleeves of her jacket, my eyes widening at the sight of the dozens of cuts decorating her forearms. I look back up at her face, her bottom lip starts to quiver. Without saying anything, I hold out my arms for her to hug me, which she quickly accepts. I gently stroke her hair and kiss the top of her head as she grips onto me tightly. "It's okay, meine liebe. I understand why, trust me when I say that, now that I know what he put you through." I coo to her softly.
Her tense shoulders relax as she finally takes in a few deep breaths into my chest. She sits up and looks at me with misty eyes, her cheeks flushed as she wipes her tears away. I take her arm in my hands and raise it up to my face, kissing each cut as gently as I can. "Tommy?" she asks, making me look up at her. "Hmm?" Without saying another word, she leans forward, wrapping her arms around my shoulders, and slowly presses her lips against mine. She pulls back for a second, just for me to pull her right back in for more as she melts into me. Kissing her feels like heaven, something I can't seem to get enough of. It feels like an addictive drug coursing through my veins.
She moves closer to me, her body relaxing against mine as she runs her hands down to my chest. I break the kiss, but only for a moment. "Raven, I love you," I say with a shaky voice. She holds my face in her hands as she looks at me, a smile tugging on her lips. "I love you too, Tom. You're so good to me." She says back before pulling me by the collar and continuing to kiss me. Her hands snake around the back of my neck, pulling me as close to her as she can. My heart starts to pound at her sudden wave of control. Her lips part slightly, inviting my tongue inside, making my stomach flutter.
I follow her command, slipping my tongue past her soft lips as my hands brush her hair from her shoulders. Her lips travel past mine, to my cheek, and down my neck to my shoulder as my hands grip onto her waist tightly, trying to control myself. Her hot breath on my neck makes me lean my head back, letting out a soft groan of pleasure. Hearing the low hum of my voice, I feel her smirk against my skin before she gently nips at my neck. As her lips move back up to my ear, I hear her whisper. "Take me away from here, Tommy. I want to be with you," she says, making my heart beat out of my chest.
