Chapter 19

Veronica's pov:

It's my birthday today, i wasn't too excited about it, but Betty always manages to make my birthdays special, and this year wasn't different.

She has set a small gathering to celebrate me, with the serpents she rented and decorated a bar near our house, though it wasn't a surprise, i'm not a big fan of those and i much rather know what comming, so i can plan my outfit.

Days before the date, we went shopping with Cheryl to find her a cute dress for the event, we wanted to go with something cute but also comfortable for her to play since of course Toni will be there with the serpents.

We decided on a pink sparkly dress, which came with matching shoes and a headband.
Betty loves putting Cher in cute headbands, specially those cloth baby ones.

Betty and I we decided on something as sparkly but more subtle, i'm going in black and Betty is going with some beige.

After getting ready for the party, Betty starts to get ready as i head to Cheryl's room to get her all dressed up for the event.

"Mommy me gonna look pwetty as you?" Cher asks me as i pick her up from her play pen to lay her down on her changing table.

"Mi amor, you're always pretty, but trust me you'll look extra sparkly today" I reply as i remove her pjamas checking her diaper to see if she needs a change.

Since it's all dry i go ahead and dress her in her new dress, sliding on some biker shorts underneath it I sit her up brushing her hair.

I notice Betty walks in while i'm adding her headband, i simply stepped aside and let her continue, i stand by the door frame as she puts her shoes on Cher and fixes her hair.

Once we are all ready, we quickly make sure Cheryl's diaper bag is complete, we wouldn't want to miss anything needed when we are out.

Being sure we are ready to take off, Betty sets Cher in her car seat, buckled up with her bunny in hand and paci in mouth, we both get in the car and we drive to the bar.

The car ride was rather peaceful, Cher has been very quiet during it, if you ask me that definitely means she's up to some kind of mischief.

We both enter to the bar, me holding Cher on my hip and Betty carrying the diaper bag.

I can't help but smile at the sight of this, i'm holding my baby, standing next to the love of my life, surrounded by all my friends, and of course TT, Chers little bestie. I'm so lucky.

Cher squirms out of my arms since she spotted Toni on Jugheads arms, they both meet and greet eachother with the cutest hug ever.

As the night goes on, we all chat, drink, and eat, Betty didn't drink since she's the designated driver, i did had quite a blast drinking.

Cheryl played with Toni all night long, eventually laying on some chairs falling asleep next to the other, typical for a half latina kid.

Soon candle time came, we tried waking up the girls so they don't miss out on it, Cher allows me to pick her up still very sleeping, she just clings to me as i walk to the cake table.Toni is picked up by Jug, and it's pretty much the same as Cher did.

I blow the candles accompanied by Cher and Betty, we take a few photos and enjoyed some cake. No matter how tired Cher was, she did have a few pieces of cake, of course managing to get frosting all over her face and dress.

Eventually we had to say goodbye, Cher said ba bye to Toni, with a promise to have a new play date soon, and we load the car up to head home.

The way home consisted of Cher fighting her sleep, she's sat in her car seat gripping onto her bunny, refusing to accept her eyes are batlling to stay open.

For some reason the way home seemed way longer, which lead us to more inconvenience with Cher.

She was first demanding her baba because she desperately wanted to sleep, then asked for her blankie which we totally forgot to bring, and then she needed an urgent change.

Finally we arrived, we quickly got her out of the car and rushed to her room.
Betty prepares her bottle at the kitchen while i get Cher out of her dress, in a new diaper and into her pjamas for the night.

Soon enough Betty arrives with the bottle, i allow her to feed her tonight, she loves holding Cher and rocking her while feeding, and i love watching it, it's the sweetest bonding moment ever.

Eventually Cher is sound asleep, and we both are in equal need to sleep aswell.
Laying Cherry in her crib with bunny and blankie, we head to bed ourselves.

What a lovely birthday i had.
