25. Manipulation

"Yoongi I need your help"

Yoongi looked towards the man who said the above words. Confused he asked him to elaborate what he meant.

"Jungkook, well he is currently blackmailing my roommate. And I need you to ask him to stop this immature acts. I believe you are the only one who is close to him now."

Jimin thought of saying it all to Yoongi, everything about Jihoon , why he is here and the doubts he have on Jungkook. But again they are close sure but aren't that close yet. Apart from this Yoongi has his own troubles which Jimin doesn't want to multiply, so he only asked what was needed at that moment.

"Blackmailing? "

Jimin elaborated the entire scenario between Taehyung and Jungkook to which Yoongi reacted rather calmly.

"Jimin, I am sorry from his behalf. I can't defend him in this but Taehyung should not have blamed him for Jihoon's death. He meant a lot to him."

"Sure" Jimin quickly said with a pinch of sarcasm in it.

This is another reason why he didn't want to tell Yoongi. His closeness to Jungkook will surely be coming their way.

"What makes you think Jihoon was special to him?"

"I met Jungkook the first day I entered the college. We together umm started bullying kids. I used to do it for money and he used to do it for fun. Few weeks later he started dating this guy Jihoon. He introduced me to him as well and I found the guy to be decent but sadly he wasn't."

Jimin's ears perked at his last statement.

"What do you mean he wasn't decent?"

"One day I got a call from Jungkook asking me to reach the petrol station near college soon. I rushed towards there and what I saw wasn't something I expected. There was a guy on road blood oozing from his body which is bruised from top to bottom. There was Jungkook and Jihoon only.

Jungkook and I sure bullied students, scared them and blackmailed them but never went physical. So I figured it wasn't Jungkook but I didn't expect it to be Jihoon but sadly it was him."

Jimin heard from Taehyung about Jihoon being a bully but this is something totally different a whole new perspective. When did his calm,empathetic brother turned into an abuser?

"Later we took him to hospital and Jungkook's parents gave money to that guy's parents and it got sorted."

"Why he did this? I ... I mean just for fun like Jungkook? Jimin's voice suddenly lowered.

"Jealousy. He was overly possesive about Jungkook. He beat the guy because he tried to get close to Jungkook. He was like this showed innocent upfront and was a total psycho from behind."

"And funny fact Jungkook put up with that shit all that time. He even stopped having any relations with anyone not even bullying, he was kinda scared. Scared Jihoon might cross a limit which Jungkook won't be able to cover up."

"And Jungkook was an impatient kid. He did things in his own way. He would talk to whoever he wanted to. He was a person of his own. So if he stopped doing all this just because of a guy he surely loved him enough not to harm him. Hell he was such kind to cover the dead body of the person Jihoon killed not kill Jihoon."

Yoongi looked at Jimin from the corner of his eyes. He could see how much pain it caused him. How much trust he is loosing on his brother, the gulping, the eye twitch, the sweat beads on his forehead showed his creeping anxiety.

But Yoongi have to, he have to make Jimin realise how much of a waste it is to search for Jihoon's murderer. And the first step to produce hate towards him in Jimin's heart. And thus he lied, made stories which aren't totally true, mixed with inputs from his side.
