“What?... You said, you did what???” Elliott asked Luke in surprise, his hand on his waist.

“That’s exactly what I did,” Luke replied, looking past Elliott’s shocked face.

“I still can’t believe you did that. You… you sent a gift to someone you met only once... Bro, I really can’t believe you. This isn’t the Luke I know,” Elliott said, while Luke appeared indifferent, continuing to work on his laptop.

“Why did you send a gift to him?” Elliott’s questioning wasn’t over yet.

“If I know you’re going to ask that many questions, I’m not going to tell you that I sent a gift to James,” Luke said, eyes still on his laptop.

“You’ve never cared about anyone enough to even try to show them affection, but now you’ve suddenly changed. Am I supposed to just accept it without asking questions? Did you fall in love at first sight or something?” Elliott asked with a smirk on his face.

“It’s not about love; he’s just very attractive.”

“Being attractive doesn’t mean you have to send a gift, bro,” Elliott said, trying to hide his smile.

James’ POV

I was still reeling from the shock of receiving a gift from Luke. I held the sleek black box in my hands, unable to believe what I was seeing. My heart pounded with a mix of excitement and nervousness as I carefully opened it.

Inside, I found a beautifully crafted leather notebook with an embossed silver emblem—a design I recognized as Luke Wealth’s signature style. Beside it was a small card that read: "For the most intriguing James Arlo. Looking forward to seeing you soon. - Luke."

My eyes widened as I read the card. The elegant handwriting and the message were both flattering and confusing. I looked over at Jamie and Lucas, who were watching me with wide eyes.

“Okay, this is officially crazy,” Jamie said, breaking the silence. “Luke Wealth just sent you a gift? What does this mean?”

“I have no idea,” I admitted, still staring at the card in disbelief. “But I can’t deny it—I’m both excited and nervous.”

Lucas leaned closer, inspecting the notebook. “This is definitely a high-end gift. Luke Wealth doesn’t just send gifts to anyone.”

I nodded, my mind racing. “I’m going to have to find out what this is all about. But first, I need to process this. I never thought my crush would actually reach out to me like this.”

Jamie and Lucas both turned to me with wide eyes.

"CRUSH???" they exclaimed in unison, their voices laced with disbelief.

Lucas’s jaw dropped as he covered his mouth with one hand. "Luke Orion? Your crush for the last five years??"

I could feel my cheeks heating up, turning a bright cherry red. "Yeah, that’s him," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

Jamie’s brow furrowed as he leaned back, crossing his arms. "I’ve heard about him. But isn’t he kind of cold-hearted?"

"Who knows? People say what they want to say. Didn’t they call me a crazy punk, but I’m actually like an angel? Didn’t they?" I shot back, trying to sound confident with a smirk.

"You’re totally crazy," Lucas said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Okay, okay, let’s talk about that tomorrow... let’s head back home," Jamie said, looking at Lucas.
