It was the next morning and my mother was talking on the phone with someone
"Grandma"I whispered which she nodded I walk to the kitchen and grab something to eat whilst she talks to her
"Avery did you have a debutante ball"
"Yeah I did why?"
"Will grandma put me into one I think her friends said something and well now I am so"
"Well your gonna need an escort"
"Dads my walker down the stairs and dean is my escort"

"Okay good you have a dress,escort and grandma will do the rest have fun little sister"I smile at her and walk up to my room I pick out an outfit
(I've decided to make Avery have more classy outfits then before that's why there's been such a jump in outfits)
I walk to Luke's diner and order a coffee
"Avery haven't seen you in awhile"
"Hiya Luke I've been busy at school today I have volleyball and dressage practice at school Rory has her deb ball"

"Keep it Luke" I say as I'm near to the door and walk outside I turn my car on and drive to chilton I play volleyball first then change into my riding clothes

I was riding around the field with Scarlet when Luke walked up to the fence with Jess behind him I lead Scarlet up to the fence
"Luke hi what are you doing here at chilton"
"Hi Avery your mother said she couldn't come and pick you up so she asked me"
"I have my car and my grandparents live around here"
"Well if you have a way home we'll be out of your hair"
"Okay bye guys"I waved and went back to my dressage routine
...after school...
After school and horse riding I drove to my grandparents house and knocked on the door
A new maid opened it
"Hi I'm Avery Gilmore" she smiled and moved out the way I walked to my grandfathers study

He had a book on his desk and some files
"The files you asked for and the book of Shakespeare"

I turned my car on yet it didn't start the battery is flat and the engine isn't going

And it didn't turn on at all so I called Luke

"Hi Luke is that ride back to stars hollow still open"
"Avery yeah of course I'm not able to be there and pick you up but I could get Jess too"
"Yeah sure I'll just wait here"he hung up the phone and in an hour Jess showed up at the front of my grandparents gate

"So that's how your always covered in brands like Ralph Lauren"I nod in return and walk to the passenger seat he starts driving and I don't think he knows how to drive

For the rest of the drive home it was silent as a ghost once I got back to stars hollow I stopped by my house and walked out and he walked back to the drivers house I opened the door and mum was talking through the phone on the couch
