The morning sun was barely visible,  through the gray curtains enough to wake Tharn up, he yawned still sleepy and reached for his mobile. It was 4:27 am , 'too early ' Tharn thought as he sat up. He rubbed his face , and realised he has passout on the couch, in his work clothes, with his flyer open, his handkerchief soiled with his mess.
Tharn shook his head with a small smile reminiscing his stunt yesterday night.
He has jerked himself so good he fell asleep right after, Type is to be thanked .

"Looks like it isn't too early anymore"Tharn  spoke to himself. He definitely needs and good shower and grooming. It was his wedding afterall, no matter how strange it is.

Tharn dressed in a crisp grey suit stepped into the VIP lounge  , where Chen waited, arms crossed and expression impassive. Today was the day Tharn would officially become Type’s husband. Despite the unconventional circumstances, he was ready to take on this role fully—Type would be his, in every sense of the word.

Chen gestured toward a chair, indicating that Tharn should sit. He complied, meeting Chen’s gaze with calm resolve. The marriage contract lay open on the table, pages filled with formalities that would seal their agreement. Tharn’s eyes flicked over the documents before he snickered internally.

“Let’s make this quick,” Chen said, his tone clipped. “You’ll get your shares as agreed, but remember—this isn’t a step into the Chen family. This arrangement is for the family’s sake, nothing more.”

Tharn nodded, carefully maintaining a respectful demeanor. “Of course, sir. I understand the boundaries here, and I’ll respect them. But if I’m going to make this believable, I’ll need more than just a piece of paper. I’d like to get to know Type better—his thoughts, his routines, even his fears. I need his journals, his personal belongings.”

Chen paused, regarding him with a mixture of surprise and scrutiny. “Why would you need those?”

“I believe it’s necessary,” Tharn replied smoothly, a faint smile touching his lips. “If I’m to be a convincing husband, I need to know him—not just on paper, but in every detail. After all, wouldn’t you prefer I understand him thoroughly?”

Chen seemed to consider this, his gaze shifting as if weighing the pros and cons. Finally, he nodded, albeit reluctantly. “Fine. I’ll have his things sent over to you. And I hope you understand all this is just for show. You don't have to be Type's husband, not like he will know anything thats happening anyways.”

Tharn met his gaze, undeterred. “If that’s the case, then I’ll simply be the husband he never knew, sir. But I intend to give him everything I can.”

Chen didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he exhaled, the resignation in his eyes hinting at the possibility he had already prepared himself for the worst. For Tharn, though, this wasn’t a deterrent. In fact, it was an invitation to take the reins entirely.

" Fine sign now." Chen pushed.

" About that sir..." Tharn started as an irritation steeped through Chen's face.

" What now?" He barked yet Tharn maintained his composure .

"As I mentioned before I want Type to participate in this , no matter how small it is. Im pretty sure sir Type has an unused suit that would suit the occasion, and I took the liberty of bring some flowers for the room and Sir Type. I can help with his hair and dressing too."

Chen was done with Tharn,
Chen narrowed his eyes, taken aback by Tharn's insistence. "You think this is some kind of romantic setup? This is a business arrangement, Tharn. We don't have time for sentimental gestures."

Tharn shrugged, a calm smile on his face. "I understand that, sir, but this is about more than just appearances. If I'm going to be married to him—even in name—I want to treat him with the respect he deserves. It's important for the image we need to maintain."

Chen let out a frustrated sigh, but he too was guilty and if this could lessen the misery of Type so be it. No matter what Type was his son, sole heir of Chens , he can't let him go without a wedding.

. "Fine. Just keep it professional. We will get him dressed up,  but remember, this isn’t a fairy tale. All this has to be a secret not some elaborate charade, we can't afford to involve many."

Tharn nodded, his smile unwavering. "Of course, sir. I’ll ensure everything is appropriate. ."

Chen got the only staff he trusts, Type's nanny bathe and dress him up. The old lady with no family who thought Type was a joy in her life was beyond grief stuck to see the child like this but Chen assured her he was just medicated to control the pain and will be normal soon.

Tharn soon joined her, helping her fix Type's hair and suit which the lady had little knowledge about. He asked her a lot about Type as if he wanted to know everything about him. He was protective, subtly making sure she harboured no ill intention.
She was happy Type "picked" such a nice guy for himself. 'No wondered Mr. Chen accepted him' she thought.
If only she knew.

They both set up the room too.
The wedding took place in the elegantly decorated private room of Type at the hospital, filled with soft white lillies and warm lighting. A small gathering of Chen, Lang, Dr. Pete and his daughter and a few trusted staff  of Chen namely the nanny and a underling, creating an intimate yet formal atmosphere.

Tharn sat by Type , dressed in his tailored suit that accentuated his frame, his expression a mix of determination and excitement. His life is about change for better. He finally will be getting the share and position he deserves for all his work.

Type, still in a hospital bed, wore a crisp suit that Tharn had chosen, enhancing his serene beauty.

Tharn spoke his vows with genuine emotion, his gaze locked on Type, wishing to convey his commitment to both their arrangement and to caring for Type.
Chen watched closely, his demeanor stern but occasionally softening as he saw his son adorned and honored, even in his condition.
He winced at the irony, Tharn is gonna be at Type's side at his sickness and death , in health?in  wellness ? In poverty? In life? He wasn't sure.

Chen had pondered on why Tharn was being such a sap, when all his life he had been one with a sharp mind and iron fist but now he seemed to understand something. Chen too was a sap for his wife, no matter how good or bad he is not one can deny he was a romantic. Maybe Tharn is more like him than he thinks. Tharn may not be fighting for his lover like Chen but he sure did for his finance . Chen now is happy he did it. Type at the least deserves a wedding.

The ceremony concluded with the signing of documents, Tharn put his thumb print and he took Type's hand and did the same, sealing the marriage legally.
As funny as it sounds this somehow gave Type a part to play in his own wedding.

Despite the unusual circumstances, there was an air of hope and new beginnings, hinting at the complex dynamics yet to unfold between the newlyweds.
