Danni let out a sigh as they sat down. The first class of the day and it's already boring.

'I don't wanna be here.' They thought to themselves, laying their head down on the wooden desk in front of them. School was truly hell for them, the only saving grace being the earbud they were allowed to have in their ear. The bell rung above them, signaling their decent from the first level of hell into the next.

"Excuse me," Danni raised up their head to see a kid standing next to them, pointing at an empty desk. "Can I sit here?" They nodded and laid their head back down.

"Okay everyone," Mrs. Barnes, a history teacher, began to speak. "Today we're going to learn about..." Danni tuned her out, turning up the music blasting in their ear. A song that their best friend, Al, introduced them to was playing. They quietly tapped their finger on the desk to the beat. From the little information that slipped into their brain from their unoccupied ear was the name of the kid sitting next to them—Dante—and a war in the 1800s blah blah blah, the regular school ordeal.

After that boring class, they walked to English. A less boring class, but still, nothing of interest. When they finally finished their third period, the walked to lunch and grabbed an apple from a clear plastic bin. Who knew how many diseases infested that container from all the gross kids touching it, but hey, free food. They sat down next to Al and mentally prepared themself for half an hour of mind-boggling opinions.

Danni walked into the blue, saying 'bye' to Al and finding some place quiet and out of the way. Before they could sit down anywhere, a kid about half their size shoved—as much as a 4ft kid could—his friend that was about three feet taller than him, and much larger, into a group of girls.

"Dude! What the hell!" The larger boy yelled. "I'm gonna fucking beat your ass!" The boy slammed his fist into the side of the boy's head, sending him hurling towards the ground. Alright, so maybe they weren't friends. Danni stepped back as they watched the madness unfold. A group of other teens gathered around to watch the stupidity. They pretended like they didn't see anything and walked away from the crowd to their favorite teacher's classroom. Gotta love school. Yippee!
