Sony stood at the entrance of her childhood home, her heart a mix of emotions as she watched her father settle into his favorite armchair. After a long hospital stay, he finally seemed at peace, surrounded by the warmth of family. Her mother smiled gratefully at her, the worry lines on her face slowly smoothing out. "Thank you for being here, bete. Agar tum aur Rajat nahi hote toh jaane kya hota. Iske liye main tum dono ka jitna shukriya ada karu kam hi hai." she said, her voice soft with gratitude.
"Maa, aisa keh ke tum mujhe paraya kar rahi ho. Rajat ne kaha na ye hamara farz hai. Iss waqt mei agar main abhi aapke saath khadi nahi rahungi toh kya faida meri beti hone ka. Aap mujhe aisi baatein kar ke paraya mat kariye. Papa mere liye bhi itne hi khash hai," Sony replied, forcing a smile.
Alok smiled, "dekha!! Main na kehta tha musibat ke waqt meri beti mera saath degi hi. Aur Rajat, uski toh kya hi baat kahun!!" He exclaimed, referring to the image he has created of Rajat.
Sony let out a sigh, she can't reveal the truth of the burden Rajat has because of the operation expenses. She just smile to her father and asks him to rest while she too moves to her room where her mother follows her, engaging in some deep talks.
But as the evening wore on, her mind drifted back to Rajat, her husband. They had shared a heartfelt apology and their first kiss in months just the night before, a kiss that ignited the hope of rekindling their relationship. Yet here she was, torn between her desire to return to him and her mother's request to stay the night.
"Beta bas aaj ke liye hi ruk jao. Aaj hi toh tumhare papa ghar aaye hai, kya tum ek din humare saath nahi ruk sakti, please beta," her mother pleaded, her eyes filled with a mix of vulnerability and longing. "Tere papa aur main, hum dono chahte hai tu kuch din ruke par agar tujhe wahan kaam hai toh bas aaj ki raat ruk jaa na.." she requested.
Sony hesitated. Part of her wanted to mend things with Rajat fully; she envisioned a night of intimacy, of truly beginning their married life together. But another part of her ached for her mother's comfort, the familiarity of home. The love in her mother's eyes melted her resolve, and she nodded.
"Thik hai maa, lekin bas aaj ke liye!" She puts her point which her mother accepts and takes her leave.
Later that evening, at the tea talk, filled with laughter and shared stories, Sony picked up her phone. "I'm going to call Rajat," she said, trying to sound nonchalant, but her heart raced at the thought of him coming over.
"Rajat? Wo busy nahi honge iss waqt?" her mother asked, concerned about lacing her voice.
"Shayad honge, par meine unhe abhi tak ye nahi bata ki hum papa ko discharge kar ke ghar ke aaye hai aur na hi ye ki aaj main yahin rukne wali hoon. Unhe nahi bataya toh wo ghar chale jaayenge, fir pareshaan hote rahenge chijon ke liye," Sony replied, her mother stares at her thinking how much her daughter has change, it sweek her heart with pride to see her daughter taking care of her husband.
She dialed Rajat's number and felt a flutter of anticipation when he answered. His deep voice created goosebumps in her.
"Rajat!! Hum papa ko ghar le aaye hain. Maa keh rahi hai aaj main yahin reh jaun toh main soch rahi thi agar ho sake toh aap bhi...yahin aa jaate," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Thik hai, main aa jaunga!," he replied, his voice warm and reassuring. A smile crept on her lips, it seemed so easy to convince him, actually she didn't have to convince him, he agreed to her just in one saying, an excitement passed her spine just at the mere thought of him.
As she hung up, Sony felt a wave of nervous energy course through her. The evening passed quickly, filled with light-hearted conversations with her parents but she couldn't shake the feeling that tonight was pivotal for her and Rajat.
.....
When Rajat finally arrived a little too late, the atmosphere shifted. His presence brought a mix of excitement and apprehension. They exchanged pleasantries with her parents before Rajat glanced at Sony, a silent question in his eyes. She felt a rush of emotions; this was their chance.
"Khana lagaun?" She asks but he denies, informing her that he has eaten with his friends, she just nods.
Rajat had some heart warming talks with her father, inquiring about his health and suggesting him to not take much tension. Alok smiled all through the conversation and so did his wife. Rajat never felt that good in the past few months, talking to the elderly he felt lively, as if connecting to his own parents.
After a few moments, Alok retires to his room with the help of his wife, leaving behind Rajat and Sony alone.
"Let's go in my room," she suggested, leading him to her room. Each step carries a weight, her thumping heart rhyming with the rain pouring outside.
As they stepped in the room, Rajat glanced around, Sony had taken the time to decorate her room, adding soft lighting and a few candles, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Rajat looked around, his brow slightly furrowed in curiosity. The tension between them was palpable as they sat on opposite sides of the bed, both unsure how to bridge the gap that had grown between them.
"Sony," he began, but before he could finish, a loud clap of thunder resonated outside, shaking the windows. Sony jumped, instinctively wrapping her arms around Rajat, seeking comfort. He froze for a moment, then wrapped his arms around her, drawing her close.
The storm outside mirrored the tumult of emotions swirling between them. As the rain pounded against the windows, they sat there, hearts racing, bodies close yet still hesitant. Rajat looked down at her, his gaze softening. "I love you," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.
"I love you too," Sony confessed, feeling the warmth of his body seep into her. The barriers between them seemed to dissolve in that moment.
With a shared understanding, they leaned closer, their lips meeting in a gentle kiss that soon deepened. The world outside faded away as they explored the uncharted territory of their love, pouring months of longing and unspoken words into their embrace.
....
As the night wore on, the storm outside raged on, but inside, their world was heating up. Sony felt a sudden surge of boldness, an urge to take the initiative. She gently pushed Rajat back against the soft bedding, her heart racing with excitement and a hint of nervousness.
"Let me show you how much I want you," she said, her voice low and sultry. Rajat's cheeks flushed at the sight of her confidence and the intimate words, his eyes widening as he took in her naked form, illuminated softly by the candlelight.
Without hesitation, Sony positioned herself over him, her body radiating warmth and desire. Rajat's breath hitched as he watched her, captivated by her beauty and the way she took charge. She moved slowly at first, finding her rhythm, savoring the connection they were building.
His hands instinctively moved to her waist, guiding her gently, but she was in control now. With each movement, she felt more empowered, igniting a fire within both of them. Rajat's eyes were filled with admiration and desire, a mixture that made Sony's heart race even faster.
As the storm raged outside, they created their own tempest within the room, each movement bringing them closer together. The intensity of the moment enveloped them, and Sony let herself get lost in the pleasure, in the connection that had been waiting to be rekindled.
They shared soft gasps and whispers, the sound of the rain and thunder providing a rhythmic backdrop to their passionate reunion. The night unfolded like a beautiful promise, as they lost themselves in each other, pouring months of longing and unspoken words into their embrace.
As dawn broke, casting soft light through the window, Sony lay wrapped in Rajat's arms, a content smile gracing her lips. They had taken that step forward together, ready to face whatever life would throw their way, their hearts intertwined in a bond stronger than ever before. In that moment she knew, she needs nothing but Rajat!
