Crossing Paths

Lucianna's POV:

I woke up still tired and my eyes swollen from all the crying I did last night,
I had my bath, put on a black hoodie, black joggers and sneakers,my hair in a messy bun, didn't even feel like eating breakfast, so I just went to attend class

After school I was with my friend Bella, we were walking down to a cafe to eat and talk, Bella ordered our food, while I took a window seat looking out the window lost in my thoughts

"What's on your mind?" Bella asked me
"Nothing" I said avoiding her gaze knowing she'll know what's wrong
"Common Luc, you know you can't lie to me, I saw the eye bags" she said with a sigh

The waiter served us our dishes and left
I explained everything that happened to her while we ate,
"I feel so sorry for you bae, you deserve so much better" she said with a concerned and worried expression on her face
"I just need to get a good job so I can afford a comfortable apartment I can live in"
She just noded while taking a sip of her coffee

I went to get a refill but spilled it on myself and a waiter because I wasn't paying attention as usual ugh, I went to the bathroom to clean myself after apologizing, few minutes later I heard a ruckus outside

I went outside after cleaning up myself, re-filled the coffee, I was about to make my way to my table but I slipped and fell, I shut my eyes immediately, preparing for the impact but it never came, I opened one eye and noticed someone caught me, then I opened the other one and looked up and I swear I was dead, because an angel caught me

Lucian's POV:

During the meeting, we discussed on how we're going to close down a few stores to expand our business, and we've already started working on it, but a cafe is refusing and I don't usually do this but I'm going down there to talk to the manager.

I walked into the cafe with my men, everyone standing up and looking at my direction whispering, some taking pictures

I walked up to the front desk and asked for the manager immediately and the boy there called for him, then ushered me to a private seat,
On my way to the seat, a girl tripped spilling coffee on me and fell into my arms

I was about to flame up, but I saw her face and my nerves immediately calmed down, she looked so beautiful, no beauty was an understatement for her, her long lashes, her plump lips, beautiful clear skin, tiny frame, soft skin, kinda loved the feeling of her in my arms, she opened one eye and then the second one, then our gaze locked

"What did you just do?!" My assistant says yelling at the girl snapping me out of my thoughts, I let go of her

"I'm so sorry sir, I tripped and I didn't know, I'm sorry, please forgive me" she said looking at her feet

"Forgive you, do you have any idea how much this suit costs!" My assistant yells again

" Calm down" I say to him, I look over to her and she immediately looks down then a brunette girl came running to us "I'm very sorry sir, she says, " she's my friend, please forgive her"
I just nod, "come by my office tomorrow" I hand my angel my business card, she takes it slowly, her soft hand brushing against mine slightly

I call my men to tell everyone to evacuate that place and it should be demolished and the construction should start by the end of the day

I'm in my Ferrari, my driver drives away immediately, I would usually be angry by now if anyone else was in place of her but why aren't I, what's so special about her, I ask myself
"home or office Mr. Mahendra?" My driver asks snapping me out of my thoughts "home" I reply

Lucianna's POV:

At home, my mind was restless thinking about today's events, maybe is I just came home right after school this wouldn't have happened, oh God what am I going to do

I give Bella a call
Bella what am I supposed to do, I poured coffee on a random man, and he looks so stinking rich, can I even afford the shirt, but it'll be okay right, it's just a random guy who's rich

Holdup, he's not just some random rich guy Luc, HE is Lucian Mahendra, the Lucian Mahendra she says making emphasis on the 'he' and his name doesn't ring a bell

Uhm, who is he, us he like big or something?
I ask clueless
I swear you live under a rock, he owns the
Mahendra company, has several other companies in different countries, his family is the biggest in Italy, one of the richest man in the world if not the richest, owns Valentino and Saint Laurent, and many other business people didn't know about, he is money Luc!

Woah, I'm in deep shit I say

And you got guys business card personally, consider yourself the definition of lucky

By lucky you mean spilling coffee and tripping into him I say.

Whatever but your going to see him tomorrow right?

Do I have a choice? I said letting it a sigh
