Chapter 16: Power Swap

The short sabers made Isam obsessed with swinging them, and the fear of an unknown, powerful enemy was born in the hearts of Isam’s enemy. Isam, along with the other five, made their way inside the mansion’s main hall. Only upon entering the large room did Isam notice that the others were bleeding.

Jim groaned loudly with pain and collapsed on the floor as he did so. The adrenaline flow helped him to resist the pain until they entered the hall.
The others looked at him. He was bleeding from several parts of the body, but the devastating thing was that his left hand no longer existed. The HIA suit could stop the blood flow, which kept him alive till now.

Forcing on his right knee, Jim tried to stand again, and then he realized that there was a dagger that penetrated his left kidney and was still shoved there.
The agony with the pain increased a few times more when he screamed. Leonardo and the others rushed to him and took him to one corner so that he could lean against the wall.

“He needs a doctor.” Vins demanded. “The suit cannot save him alone.”
“He needs to be taken to the hospital.”

They looked at Leonardo and Isam for a reply, but they remained silent.

It was true that it was difficult to run through a wave of troops, and it was impossible to carry an injured man through it.

“His HIA will hold up the blood until we make our way out. Till then, he has to stay here.” Leonardo said.
“Are you serious? A man is dying here. He will die by the time we clear such a large number.” Vins looked at Leonardo with a little indignation.
“We do not have a choice. Come on.” Leonardo roared.

The situation outside was very good. There was still Gregon’s troop outside the mansion who were still fighting.
Leonardo and the other started to go outside. At a moment like this, four men started to come towards them from the inner part of the mansion, and noticing them, Leonardo’s team halted. In darkness, the face was not visible from the distance. When they closed in, Isam recognized the middle man and sighed in relief.

“Grandpa!” A big grin on his face. “Looks like I’m not too late. Where is the family?”

“They are safe in a far location from here. I told you not to come, but it looks like you like this old man very much.”
“That is surely what I do because you are valuable here.”

Then Isam quickly pointed to the heavily wounded Jim and said, “My teammate needs to be sent to the hospital right now.”

Gregon looked at him and signaled one of his men to come forward. “He will take him to the nearest hospital through the underground tunnels beneath the mansion.”

“Wait! You have tunnels under your mansion?”

Gregon nodded. “Yes”
“Then why haven’t you left?”
“I am waiting for the emperor, as you have told me to invite him.”
“Ah, old man. You should have left.” Isam sighed.

Leonardo told Carls and Vins to carry Jim through the tunnel, and they left immediately.

When they were completely gone, the others went to Gregon’s study and held their position there.

“We don’t have much troops left.” Gregon’s man spoke, making a depressing look.

“Bring them all in.” Leonardo said in a commanding voice.
“What?” the man asked.
“I said, bring them inside the mansion.” He repeated.

“Do as he says.” Gregon said. “Do you have a plan?”
“Sort of.” Leonardo continued, “It is certain that our ship is exposed, and they will surely send fighters to deal with it.”
“What do you plan to do?” Isam asked. Leonardo smirked. And then he went near the window and spoke over his wireless network connected with the ship,
“Bring down the small packets of firecrackers and leave the atmosphere quickly.”
