*Chapter 2: The Web of Deceit*
Rajiv Mehra's office was a symbol of his success. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of Mumbai's skyline. His mahogany desk shone, adorned with framed photos of his family.
But beneath the surface, Rajiv's empire was built on lies.
He had mastered the art of money laundering, using shell companies and offshore accounts to conceal his illicit wealth.
Rajiv's phone buzzed, snapping him back to reality.
"Vijay Singh on line one," his secretary announced.
Rajiv's expression turned serious. Vijay, a powerful politician, was not someone to keep waiting.
"Rajiv, my friend," Vijay's booming voice filled the line. "Our mutual friend in Dubai has agreed to invest in your new project."
Rajiv's eyes narrowed. "What's the catch?"
Vijay chuckled. "Just a small favor. You know how it works."
Rajiv understood. Vijay wanted a share of the profits, disguised as a "consulting fee."
"Done," Rajiv agreed, masking his reluctance.
The call ended, Rajiv's mind racing. He knew the risks of dealing with Vijay, but the rewards were too enticing to resist.
Meanwhile, Rohan Sharma sat in his small, cluttered office, pouring over financial records.
Something didn't add up.
Rohan's instincts screamed that Rajiv's empire was built on corruption.
He just needed proof.
