Noah:

"Hey man, thanks for picking me up." I say to Aaron as I get into the passenger seat of his car.

"No problem." He states "Let's just get back to my house before your parents realize I picked you up." He snickers as he pulls out of my driveway.

"They never said I couldn't go out."

"I think that's the literal definition of being grounded." He says with a roll of his eyes. "And by the way, I'm pretty sure Adena has some of her friends over."

"Which ones?" I ask, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Hold on, give me a second to think." He replies.

I look at him questionably.

"You don't know your sister's friends?" I ask confused.

"Yes I do." He replies defensively "Her name is Olive." He states matter-of-factly.

"I thought her name was Olivia."

"Olivia! I knew that."

"Sure, bud, sure." I say sarcastically.

"And Caleb. I know that one."

"Who the fuck is Caleb?" I say losing my casual persona.

"I don't know one of her friends." He says cluelessly

Sure... friends

.

"Oh come on he is so not into me like that!" I hear through the front door once we've finally arrived at Aaron and Princess's house.

"Who doesn't like you like that?" I hear myself asking before I can stop myself.

Stupid

"None of your business." The princess replies as I eye the guy sitting next to her.

So this is Caleb

"It's my business," Says Aaron, starting to get defensive over his little sister "who is he?" He asks

Olivia gives him a stink eye

Or was it Olive

"Actually it's not your business either." Princess says with an added eye roll.

Feisty

"It is my business, who is it?" Aaron says not giving up.

"Just some guy from school."

Olivia and Caleb glance at each other trying not to laugh.

"Tell the truth." Aaron says tiredly.

"Why are you a human lie detector?" Princess asks.

"I know when you're lying."

"Nuh uh."

"yuh huh."

Here we go

"How can you even tell? I have a great poker face." She says

"It's not your face that's the problem."

"What?" She says turning her attention to me

God she's beautiful

"Whenever you're lying you look down into the corner of your eye, your voice drops a little bit from its natural register and you fiddle with your fingers when you're lying." I say keeping eye contact with her the entire time. "Did you know that siblings are the most lied to in their lifetime? Funny right, you think siblings would trust each other but they actually make up 73% of victims that have been lied to. Tonight is a key example of that but if you look into it further you can see that-"
