Below Deck- Ayanokoji POV

"Ayanokoji-Kun... how long have you been here?"

"The entire time."

"Are you sick of me? I... I understand. I won't bother you again."

"I'm invested in you."

"You're what?"

"Karuizawa when will you learn to fight for yourself."

"I... I can't."

"Then I suppose you won't fight me either then?"

"Huh?"

Her face was filled with confusion. I grabbed her wrist pinning her to the wall.

"Ayanokoji-Kun. What are you...?"

"Well, then I think I'll see how far you're willing to go."

"How far would I go? You don't mean..."

"Would you offer your body to guard this secret?"

She shivered in fear.

"You. No, you wouldn't ask me to do that. You're not a bad person."

"If you don't I'll tell everyone what happened here."

"I'm not wrong about you. You protected me. I don't know why you're doing this but I know you're not a bad person."

"How would you know that?"

"Because those are the eyes of a person who's been hurt by bad people. Just like me."

"Being treated badly doesn't always turn people into saints who want to help others. You're just a tool. So I'll use you as I see fit.

"A tool... Ayanokoji-Kun. You..."

"Karuizawa. Spread your legs."

She gave me a horrified look but she didn't resist.

"You're not resisting. There's something else you're attempting to hide."

I grabbed her shirt and she looked mortified as I pulled it up slightly. There it was. A scar left from a stab wound. She began crying again.

"So that's your darkness. Let me guess your swimsuit career brought the attention of the boys in your school. One of which was already in a relationship?"

I inspected her face.

"No. But someone was interested in them already. They decided to confront you and stab you. You didn't stop because you wanted to. You were laid off for your disfigurement. Makes sense. I did find it strange a company would dissolve your contract so easily."

Her face confirmed it all.

"However why didn't you report the abuse? Was it always in secret? No that's not likely. More like you were the target of multiple students."

"Ayanokoji-Kun please stop."

"It all started with that one person. You reported it, didn't you? But no one believed you. Why though? Was she an upstanding student?"

Karuizawa looked at me with dread. It was so easy to figure her out. Just a few words and assessing her reaction was enough to tell me everything I needed to know.
