In that moment, Pradyuman realized that he couldn't continue living in fear of the past. He had spent too long trying to atone for his mistakes with Meera by controlling Naina's life. But Naina wasn't Meera. She was her own person, with her own choices to make.
It was time to let go.
"I do trust you, Naina," Pradyuman said, tears in his eyes. "I just don't want to lose you like I lost her."
"You won't, Papa," Naina said softly. "But you have to let me live my life."
Pradyuman nodded, feeling the weight of years lift from his chest. He had carried the burden of tradition, of guilt, of fear for too long. Now, it was time to trust his daughter, to trust that she would make her own way in the world.
For the first time in years, Pradyuman felt a sense of peace. The ghosts of the past would always be with him, but they no longer controlled his future. And neither would they control Naina's.
