The sun

The sun used to the like the only important thing.
Its warmth and radiance.
Making you feel full and happy.
And when it's gone you are filled with dread.
Why didn't I savour and treat it better when it was here?
You want its brightness back.
But you never realised it left you burnt and scarred.
An increased chance of something worse happening,
that could affect you until your dead.
Alter how you live.
Cautionand blocking out other luminescence,
that just want to brighten your life, help you-
Help you remember the moon and stars.
The sun was just one tiny, insignificant star.
Even if it felt like more.
The sky is littered with stars.
Brighter. Better
The sun was just the closest-more visible.
But there are stars that don't leave you weakened and affected.
That don't make you less of who you are.
Instead help you embrace yourself.
Rather than taint you red.

She built me up. But knocked me back down. Leaving me scattered.
The stars and the moon. They, are helping rebuilt me.
Stronger, healing the burn.
Breaking down the walls that restrict me from being me.
