chaos.

chaos transformed by the storm that raged over the horizons. the golden sands that sprawled the beach were now dark and sodden, drenched and beaten flat by a downpour of water. waves surged violently toward the shore, their crests topped with frothy whitecaps as they crashed with a thunderous roar that echoed over the coastline. a thick salty tang soaked the air, sharper than usual, mingling with the damp smell of the rain—soaked sand, and the faint hint of seaweed that had found its way ashore.

the wind screamed through the air, wildly. it lashed at the tall standing palm trees, fronds whipping crazily.

flashes of lighting illuminated the beach in white, and it turned the dark clouds above into a jagged, glowing maze for brief moments. the boom of thunder followed and rolled across the sky like a ferocious growl.

through the storm, the taste of salt was everywhere. each gust of wind carried with it droplets of salt water, leaving behind a briny residue in the jaws of those who trailed the sand.

the storm raged across the coastline, like it had for the last hour or so. thunder cracked violently, like a whip, and the wind growled, shredding through the sky. rain battered the shoreline, soaking the sand into a thick, heavy mess. the waves towered high before crashing down into numerous jagged rocks that lined the shore, sending spray high into the air before pulling back into an angry retreat.
