Thank you, everyone for liking, commenting and sharing the story. It was a really difficult story to pen down but the support and reactions it received kept me going. I am happy that there was so much conversation around the story. I know many people didn't agree with the situations or actions of the characters but well it was needed for the progression of the story. Also, these elements exist in our society but hopefully every individual makes a good choice for themselves. It is definitely a challenge to write complex grey characters. But it was amazing to see how even, that found its acceptance and audience. I read all the comments and suggestions you all provided and hopefully you feel like I have done justice to this story. Thank you so much to everyone again :)
No, there is not going to be a season two, at least not for now. I don't have any plot in mind. This is the end of the story. With this ending I wanted to show that some people no matter how much they have gone through, do not change their core personality traits while others do. It was to show a distinction between different kind of darkness between Arnav and Khushi. Khushi's character was dark and greedy, kind of a short term player with immediate goals for which she acted. She applied into her life most of the things that she learnt from being around people in Delhi. Time and events might have mellowed her down but that was not the case with Arnav. He was a much sinister and complex character looking for playing the longer game for his benefit which he continues to do. He is so used to doing wrong things that even after seeing his daughter he got scared and his first instinct is to do something menacing, it's his second nature.
Reading some of the comments, also made me realise that maybe I have been too cynical regarding certain things. This actually gave me a good idea for another story :) I am working on writing a mellowed down alternate version of Accepting Reality. It will be similar till the 1st chapter but after that, what if Khushi didn't become greedy and Arnav didn't have malicious intent. The storyline will explore the idea of both being good people instead of devils. But that is just in the ideation phase now, I haven't even started writing it as of yet. So let's see maybe that will be published sometime in the next year.
