Part 9 Sick town

      Following the event of what happened Zel was promoted to S rank and the association masters even gave him a new and better house for himself, Anna and Grace. The name Zel reached the ears of people as the man nobody knows where he came from.

       Zel, Anna and Grace were lying on the bed of Zel's room facing upwards. Anna said "Zel, so how does it feel to be classified as one of the strongest people in the world?" Zel responded "I don't know, I feel the same way I have always felt" Anna asked"how?" Zel replied "normal". Anna breathed out loudly and said "anyways, today I want to be productive today especially because around this period I and Grace's magic power increases greatly".

         Zel asked "why?, Is it a witch thing that you can increase your magic power at a certain period of time?" Grace responded saying "it's not a witch thing, we have just always been able to do that, since our earliest memory we have always had increased magic power around the period of our birthday" Zel responded"oh, really your birthdays?, your birthday is when exactly?" Grace responded "our birthday is in 2 weeks time".

   Anna asked "oh, Zel I remember some time ago you said that some of your power has been sealed, does that mean you can't cast spell without or have your abilities been weakend or have you even lost some of your abilities?" Zel responded "I don't know, I haven't tried casting any spells since that fight" Anna responded"so try casting a spell without words".

     Grace stood up, left the room and brought a magic spell book then she opened it, and she said "Zel, try casting this one" as she held the book up and was pointing at the spell. Zel said "okay, why not?. What does the spell do?" Grace responded "it creates a pucket dimension where you put clothes and you summon it on your body".

      Zel tried the spell without words but the spell was not working. Zel said "it's not working" Anna responded saying "why don't you just try casting the spell with words?". Zel said"fine, I'll use words". He held the book and began the spell, saying "space be thy guide as I make a place my things. Dimension be formed!!", then a gold light appear in front of Zel. Then Grace said "now put your clothes in it". Zel walked to his wall grope and brought out some of his clothes and put them in the gold light and then the light vanished.

        Zel said "so that was a success". Anna looked at Grace and said "remember we have to go see mom whenever it's our birthday". Grace responded "oh yes, should we start packing?". Zel said "oh, will you two be going?. Can I come along?" Anna said "sure, why not?".

      Grace opened her own pucket dimension and put her clothes as well as Anna's. Zel decided to use the pucket dimension thinking it would be more convenient than carrying a bag. They left the house and outside Zel said "so, are we going to teleport there?". Anna responded "no, we won't be doing that. We usually don't teleport, we like the journey and plus the more we use our magic the stronger it gets, we could encounter some melacores on the way and defeat them so they won't terrorize people that can't fight back". Zel said "so you feel obligated to fight melacores because you have relatively high magic power". Grace got into the conversation and said "we don't have high magic power, it's only around the period of our birthday we seem to have magic power of an above the average witch" Zel said "don't you think it's strange that both your magic power get stronger only during the period of your birthday" Grace said "our coven mistress miss Devika Colrage said it's normal for albinos experience this". Zel said "so, now how do we get there?" Anna responded "we to pass mountain the phantom forest then keep walking till we get on the claw mountain there we will see two stone statue touching each other, all we have to do is activate it and a portal will appear, then we will appear in our coven, there they will take us to our mom". Zel had a thought in his mind saying sarcastically "that's not complicated". Grace said "you know we can read minds right". Zel said"okay, you can, I should have just said it out load, so let's start going".

        Anna flew up, Grace followed suit and Zel tried flying but, he was only jumping then Zel remembered he had read a spell for flying both Grace and Anna flew down to Zel and held his hands as Zel said the spell "wind be thy guide as I move in air". Zel, Anna and Grace all flew up holding hands with Zel being in the middle of Anna and Grace. They reached a town, there the people looked skinny and malnourished and with some people even lying on the ground sick and coughing. Zel, Anna and Grace flew down and spoke to one of the sick, a man she saw on the ground coughing and asked "what happened here" the man in a weak voice responded "there has been a terrible plague outbreak, we of us have died, the crops are dying or are already dead, our river we use as our source of water has been poisoned and our burgomaster doesn't do anything about it so all we can do is to just wait for our deaths" . Grace held Anna and asked"is there a way we could help them?" Anna responded "we could start by looking for the main source of the plague".

      Grace and Anna held each other and the sick man and had a vision of a deadly flower spirit moving around the town every night. Grace said "so the root cause of this is a flower spirit, so we have to wait till nightfall and take care of the issue but while we wait let's heal everyone here" the man said " there are 30,000 people present in this town and 20,000 of us are sick, how will you save them?" Grace responded "you'll see, Anna and Zel both of you go and purify the river and make the crops grow". They both agreed and left with Anna going to purify the river and Zel going to make the crops grow. Grace raised her hands up and a large magic circle appeared and every sick person got up. Anna ran to the river, the river had a greenish color, brackish alga and dead fished and birds on its surface and Grace touched it and the entire river was purified in seconds as she telekinetically removed the dead animals on the surface of the river. Zel ran to where they grew there crops and all the crops were either dead or dying so Zel did a spell to purify the land, he remembered that there was a goddess of nature and he touched the ground, a gentle green aura form around Zel, reaching the ground trees with fruit rose up from the ground, new crop plants began to grow, crops of different forms and sizes as Zel used the goddess's power seeing this the town's people's face were filled with joy.
