the girl sat on her bed, scrolling through instagram as her best friend, alana roberts, stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself as she patted down her costume. the mouse one that karen wears in mean girls.

"you look amazing." holly spoke as she put her phone down on the bed beside her, sitting up as she smiled at her friend.

"thanks holls, you look gorgeous too." lana smiled, before walking over and sitting on the bed next to holly, leaning her head on her shoulder. "this halloween is gonna be perfect."

"oh one hundred percent." holly smiled. everyone wanted this to be a perfect halloween, getting shitfaced drunk and having fun, before they all go away to college.

the cold air from outside blew through the room, coming in through the window that was ajar. blowing the curtains around. the loose papers that sat on her desk flapping in the wind.

she sighed and stood up, walking to the window and shutting it, along with the curtains. "what time is it?" she asked alana as she sat down in her desk chair, spinning to face her.

the roberts girl leant over to the other side of the bed to have a look at her phone, before responding. "5:39 pm!"

"shit. we've got so long until the party starts, i'm so bored." holly groaned, throwing her head back in annoyance.

"who are we hanging out with tonight? all i know is we're hanging in a group..." lana asked.

"i don't actually know, all i know is that will's gonna be there, we were talking about it in history." holly responded, running a hand through her hair.

alana sighed before flopping back onto the bed with a huff. "now we wait for like... ten thousand hours."
