The night in Hell was quiet—a rarity—and the hazy glow of distant fires cast an eerie yet oddly serene light over the landscape. You found peace in moments like these, where the chaos seemed to die down just enough for you to breathe. The roof of the Hazbin Hotel had become your sanctuary, a place to escape the madness below and indulge in your secret hobby—drawing.
You sat cross-legged on the edge, sketchpad in hand, pencil gliding across the page. Tonight, you weren't drawing the Hellish skyline or abstract figures. No, tonight was different. Tonight, you were drawing someone. Someone who had captured your attention since the moment you met her—Vaggie.
There was something about her sharpness, her strength. The way her piercing magenta eye contrasted against her cool demeanor. It fascinated you. Without realizing it, you'd often catch yourself staring, wondering what lay beneath the fierce exterior. So, when you finally gathered the courage to sketch her, you came up to the roof for privacy. But of course, in Hell, nothing goes unnoticed for long.
"What are you doing up here?"
Her voice, clear and sharp like a blade, sliced through the quiet air. You jumped slightly, snapping the sketchbook shut before looking over your shoulder. There she was, standing by the rooftop entrance, arms crossed, a curious yet stern look on her face.
"Oh—uh, just, you know... drawing," you stammered, trying to keep your cool. The last thing you wanted was for her to see what you were working on.
Vaggie raised an eyebrow. "Drawing what?"
You hesitated, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. "Just... stuff."
Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, but she wasn't one to back down easily. Before you could stop her, she strode over and, with a fluid motion, snatched the sketchbook out of your hands. Your heart raced as she flipped it open to the page you'd been working on.
You held your breath as her gaze settled on the drawing. Silence. Then, slowly, the corners of her mouth turned up in a soft smile, a rare sight for Vaggie.
"You're drawing *me*?" she asked, her voice softer now, almost amused.
You rubbed the back of your neck nervously. "I... uh, yeah. I mean, I didn't mean to be weird about it. I just think you're—uh—interesting to draw."
She looked at you with that one intense eye, and you couldn't quite read her expression. For a moment, you feared she was going to laugh or get mad, but instead, she sat down next to you, much closer than you expected.
"You did a good job," she said quietly, flipping through some of your earlier sketches. "I didn't know you drew."
"Yeah, it's something I do to unwind," you replied, trying to ignore how close she was sitting. The warmth of her presence, combined with the night's cool air, made your heart beat faster.
Vaggie handed the sketchbook back to you, her fingers brushing yours briefly. "I like it," she said, glancing at the drawing of herself one last time. "You captured my good side."
You laughed softly, relieved that she didn't find the whole thing creepy. "You have a lot of good sides, honestly."
She shot you a sideways glance, her smile growing just a bit wider. "Smooth," she teased, but there was a hint of warmth in her voice now.
The two of you sat there in comfortable silence for a while, the distant sounds of Hell a faint murmur in the background. You could feel the tension that had once existed between you and Vaggie slowly dissipating, replaced by something softer, something that made you want to reach out to her.
"Why didn't you just ask me to pose for you?" she asked after a while, her voice soft and curious.
You chuckled. "I didn't think you'd be into it. You seem... I don't know, busy."
"I can make time," she said, her gaze now fixed on you. "Especially if it's for something like this."
Your breath caught in your throat as her eyes lingered on you. There was an intensity in her gaze, one that made you feel exposed but in a good way. Like she saw you, really *saw* you, and it didn't scare her.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, Vaggie reached out and brushed a strand of hair away from your face, her touch surprisingly gentle. You felt your heart race again, this time not out of fear, but anticipation.
"I think..." she began softly, her face inches from yours now, "I'd like to see what other sides of me you can capture."
Before you could respond, she leaned in, her lips meeting yours in a soft, tender kiss. It wasn't rushed or heated, just a quiet moment between the two of you, under the Hellish sky. The world seemed to disappear for a moment, leaving only the warmth of her lips and the soft sound of your hearts beating in sync.
When she pulled back, her expression was uncharacteristically soft, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. "Maybe next time you draw me, I'll pose for real," she whispered, her voice low and teasing.
You smiled, still dazed from the kiss. "I'd like that."
Vaggie stood up, offering you a hand to help you to your feet. As the two of you made your way back inside the hotel, you couldn't help but glance down at your sketchbook. The drawing of her seemed incomplete now, but you knew there'd be plenty of opportunities to finish it.
After all, there was so much more of Vaggie you were looking forward to capturing—both on paper and off.
