Casey POV (Background)
Y/n was always a smart kid, clearly following in Alex's footsteps, striving to attend law school once she graduated. In some ways y/n reminded me of Alex, her mannerisms, her work ethic, and her stubbornness, after all she was the child of two lawyers and an ADA for her older sister, so she knew how to argue. Y/n was a quiet girl though, she'd always been this way and Alex saw it as her role to protect y/n. When y/n reached high school she became even more anxious, something she was previously good at masking, but soon it became unmanageable for her, and Alex, and I noticed as it began to get worse. It became apparent that the transition into high school was a huge worry for y/n as her routine had changed significantly. Both Alex and I stood by her side no matter how hard it became; we knew after y/ns autism diagnosis that she would need all the support we could give her when substantial changes came her way.

Casey POV (Present Day)
I turned over this morning, waking up early to get organised for today's trial. I could see my wife's face smiling softly in her sleep as she lay content, sound asleep, her blonde hair sprawled across the white silk pillowcase. Getting up I left her to sleep, making my way along the passage peering into y/ns room. Y/n moved in with us a few years ago as her and Alex's family were very unsupportive of them both and Alex had had enough of the way they treat her sister once she had left home to move in with me. There was a large age gap between the girls, so Alex often took on a motherly role over her sister when she was growing up. This often included me, so y/n and I bonded well too, and she'd come to us with anything she needed help with, whether that was her homework or her health. Peering around the door I could see her y/h/c sprawled out across her pillow. She was just like her sister; they were so similar it was almost as if they had been cloned. I left her to rest, and I made my way downstairs into the kitchen, preparing myself a coffee and dragging my court paperwork with me to prepare.
After a while, y/n emerged into the kitchen dragging her blanket with her. Yawning, she climbed onto the bar stools in the kitchen smiling at me and laying her head back down on the kitchen counter. I couldn't help but laugh at her antics as Alex came through the door wrapping her arms around me, kissing me.
Y/N: "Eww guys...it's way too early for that." Y/n grumbled, rolling her eyes at us.
Alex: "Ohh shush it's not like I didn't catch you that time making out with that girl, suspiciously under your covers..." Alex laughed and raised her eyebrows at y/n who had now turned a deep shade of crimson.
Casey: "Anyways...Olivia and Rollins are coming over soon to prepare for the trial I have later, so Alex get your butt into the shower right now cause need to wash your hair and y/n why don't you shower too and put on some comfy clothes so you can relax on your day off. If you give me your hoodie I'll put it in the wash for you and it will be ready for you to wear again later, okay?"
Alex: "I need to shower, why? Are you trying to insinuate something about me Miss Novak?" Alex asked raising her eyebrow and crossing her arms. Y/n interjected sarcastically.
