The mood on the spaceship was tense. Everyone sat in silence, each lost in their thoughts. Questions raced through our minds—would we be able to save Mary and bring her back home? Why had she gone to space? How had she even gotten there? There were too many unknowns, and it gnawed at us. Connor, sitting in the pilot's seat, was focused, his eyes fixed on the ship’s controls and the tracker displaying Mary's location. His fingers moved swiftly, adjusting our course through the dark void of space.

"So, what are we gonna do when we find Mary?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Bring her home, duh," Ellis responded, his voice lacking any real enthusiasm.

Will shifted nervously in his seat. "But, what if she's been captured by aliens or something, and they’re indestructible? What if we can't get her back?"

"Calm down, you two," Alexia said, exasperated. "We’ll rescue Mary easily. But what I want to know is why she’s in space. How did she even get here?"

"I don’t know," Anne replied, her voice quiet. "There are too many questions and not enough answers."

Connor suddenly sat up straight. "Wait, guys! Her tracker stopped moving! That means she’s landed somewhere!" His voice held a spark of hope, and I felt my heart leap in response.

"Hold on, Mary," I whispered to myself. "We're almost there..."

Meanwhile...

Mary watched as the spaceship she had been trapped in entered the atmosphere of a strange planet. She pressed her face against the window, her breath fogging up the glass as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing. It was snowing heavily outside, the landscape barely visible through the thick white flurries.

"Wow," she murmured. "I wonder why this ship brought me here." Her memory of being kidnapped by the ship was a blur, almost as if her mind was suppressing the event.

The ship jolted as it landed with a thud, and Mary glanced out again as the snow miraculously blew away, clearing the area around the ship. The door opened with a mechanical hiss, and she hesitated before stepping out into the cold.

Mary’s steps were tentative as she ventured outside, the snow crunching under her boots. "Hello?" she called out, her voice lost in the vastness around her.

There was no answer. She walked a little further, her eyes scanning the horizon, until she suddenly found herself standing at the edge of a cliff. Her heart leapt into her throat as she teetered on the brink, quickly stepping back.

"Careful there. You don’t wanna fall," came a voice, sharp and mocking.

Mary gasped, spinning around to locate the source of the voice, but there was no one in sight.

"Up here, blonde," the voice said again, this time with a strange amusement.

Mary’s gaze followed the sound, and she noticed a black, swirling portal forming in front of her, hovering just above the ground. Her heart raced as she tried to comprehend what was happening.

"Who are you?" Mary demanded, her voice trembling.

"Who I am doesn’t matter," the voice replied smoothly. "What does matter is what I can do for you..."

"And why should I care?" Mary shot back. "Why did this ship kidnap me? Why did it bring me here? And how do you know who I am?"

"Silence, child," the voice commanded, its tone suddenly dark and commanding. "Your questions will be answered soon enough. But first, let me ask you something: how much do you miss Micah?"

Meanwhile, back on Connor’s ship...

"Woah... that's where Mary is?" I said, staring at the view of the icy planet on the screen in front of us.
