              Villian POV

I held the phone tighter, listening to the endless ringing, a smirk playing on my lips. Ariv Raghuvanshi—so calm, so untouchable. But even he couldn’t ignore this. Not when his life was hanging by a thread, one I could snip anytime I wanted.

The call clicked, and his voice came through, smooth and unbothered. "What do you want?"

Straight to the point. As always.

"You," I answered, voice dripping with false charm, "at the end of your rope. That’s what I want."

A short laugh from him. Not the reaction I expected, but he was always one to keep his cool. "Is that supposed to scare me? You'll have to do better than cheap threats."

"Cheap threats?" I let the words linger in the air, taking a slow breath. He didn’t get it yet, did he? "You should be worried, Ariv. I don’t make empty threats. I follow through." My fingers traced the edge of the desk in front of me, each drag of my nails imagining the scrape of his downfall.

"I’m not afraid of you." His voice was firm, unwavering. Damn, that confidence of his… it irritated me more than it should’ve.

"That’s the problem with you, isn’t it? Always so sure of yourself. You walk through life like nothing can touch you. But what if this time... it could?"

"I’m not playing your game," Ariv shot back, the calm in his voice starting to show cracks. "If you think you can blackmail me into anything, you’re wasting your breath. I’ve got nothing to hide."

"Oh, I know that," I purred, my grin widening. "You’re SO clean, right? Mr. Perfect. It’s not about your secrets, Ariv. It’s about something much simpler than that." I paused, relishing the moment, letting the silence dig into him. "It’s about life… and how easily it can be taken away."

There. I felt it—the brief, almost imperceptible pause in his breath. He wasn’t scared, but he was listening now.

"You think you’re untouchable because of your fame. Your money. But you’re wrong," I continued, my voice dropping to a low, dangerous whisper. "You bleed like the rest of us. And all it takes is one slip, one well-timed move... and you’re gone. Just like that." I snapped my fingers for effect, even though he couldn’t see it.

He sighed on the other end, annoyed more than anything. "You think I’m going to just let you push me around?"

"I think you don’t have a choice," I shot back, my tone sharper now. "Either you do what I want, or... well, let’s just say the headlines will be far more tragic than you expect. Imagine the shock on everyone’s face when their golden boy is found in pieces."

Silence. I could hear the faintest rustle on his end, the way his mind must’ve been racing. But he still wasn’t rattled. Not yet.

"You’re pathetic," Ariv said, his voice cold. "If you want something from me, come get it. But don’t hide behind threats like a coward."

My blood boiled. Damn him. He wasn’t taking the bait, but that didn’t matter. I had plans in place. If he didn’t crack now, he would soon enough.

"Watch yourself, Raghuvanshi," I hissed. "You might be a star, but stars fall too. And when you do, I’ll be right there to snuff out the last bit of light you have."

He chuckled. "Good luck with that."

Before I could respond, he hung up. The sound of the dial tone rang in my ear, and I gritted my teeth.

You should’ve just stayed quiet, Ariv. I paced the room, each step punctuated by the building rage inside me. He wouldn’t give in easily, but that was fine. I didn’t need him to. Soon, he’d be where I wanted him—helpless, cornered, with no way out.

And when that moment came, when the world would be watching as his life slipped away, they’d know exactly who pulled the strings.
