Down into the second one, that's smaller,

And there's more pain, forcing the souls to complain.

There was the horrible Minos, and he growled:

He examines the souls at the entrance;

He judges and sends them based on how many turns he takes.

I'm saying that when the damned soul

Comes before him, they confess all;

And that sins connoisseur

Sees which part of hell is suitable for them;

He girdles with his tail around them as many times as

He wants them to go down.

Before him there are always a lot of souls;
