I walk up to Ruby.
"Hey can you take that order I need a break really quick." I say
"Kylie. This is your 10th break is the last 2 days. Are you okay?." Ruby says putting her hand on my arm.
"I'm fine. I just need to text someone really quick!" I say running of the the back.
Ruby smiles then goes to take the order.
I run to the back and pull out my phone and pull up Malia's contact. Yeah...maybe we exchanged numbers.. Well she kept coming to the shop every day so I had too! I think for a momment before texting her.
...............
Kylie: hey! are you coming today??
Malia: uh- yeah I'm just getting ready, your up super early.
Kylie: it was an early shift I have been here since 4am. But that means I leave earlyyy?
Malia: okay fine. What time?
Kylie: 6:30pm PLEASEE!
Malia: I promise. cya later kylie!
...............
I put down my phone and smile. I walk out to see Ruby struggling with the coffee machine. I stand there in shock. The coffee machin breaks down and shoots a bolt right at ruby's forehead.
"RUBY!" I scream and as I run to the ground.
"FUCK!" She screams in pain.
I look at her forehead that is covered in bruises and blood. She has a big hole in her forehead.
"EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE SHOP IMMEDIATELY NOW! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY AND THE SHOP IS NOW CLOSED!" I scream as I look at Ruby worried.
"I'm not fucking leaving until you give me my coffee bitch!" Some guys screams at me.
Oh fuck this shit. I death stare him.
"K-..Kylie p-please do- OW FUCK!" Ruby screams in pain as she whimpers. I look down at her and hold her hand but look back at the guy who is flipping me off. I stand up and jump over the counter.
"LISTEN HERE BITCH! I SAID GET OUT OF THE SHOP!" I say as I walk up to him and stare up at him.
"Oh I'm so scared! Your a fucking girl who doesn't even look like she can throw a punch!" She laughs.
I pull his shirt and throw him to the ground.
" WANNA BE MY BITCH ASSHOLE?! OH I WILL MAKE YOU MY BITCH JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE! FUCK YOU! I SAID GET OUT OF MY FUCKING SHOP! NOW!" I say as I slap his face.
His eyes widen with fear as he beats up and crys out like a baby. I look out to the shop and see everyone recording.
Including Malia...
" you heard me! Get out!!" I scream as I hope over the counter back to Ruby who is laying on the floor crying in pain.
"Ow...fuck.." she screams as she crys more.
"Ruby! Please! It's gonna be okay I promise!" I scream as I look for help but then realize all who is there is Malia who is looking on her phone at the video like she's impressed. Wow okay maybe I should do that more often then.
Ruby starts to drift off to faint.
"RUBY! RUBY PLEASE STAY WITH ME!" I scream as I start to cry.
" SOMEONE! MALIA HELP!" I scream as I look down at Ruby in my arms covered in blood. I look at my hands too. I rip off a piece of clothing and put pressure on the wound.
Malia looks up and sees me screaming. She runs over and stares at what happened.
"Holy shit..." she says in shock.
"Malia..please help!" I scream as I cry at Ruby who is drifting off.
"She's losing too much blood. About 10 cups of it. And that a lot. We need you to keep applying pressure Kylie! Your doing great! Let me grab somthing to help her. Please explain what happened?" Malia says like she was prepared for this.
What the fuck? How does she know all this shit?!
" what! How do you know all of th-." I say before she cuts me off.
"I used to be a doctor because my dad wanted me too. And I helped ivory when she was having a shot wound. But what happened Kylie!" She says as she puts bandages on Ruby and checks the depth of the wound.
"The coffee machine broke while I was texting you and a bolt shot out and hit her head." I say worrying as I look at Ruby.
"Holy shit..that's deep.. don't worry she's gonna be okay. Do you know how to drive to the nearest hospital?" Malia says in shock.
"Y-yes! YES I DO JUST SAVE RUBY PLEASE!" I say as I break out in tears.
Malia grabs my hand and assures me it's gonna be okay.
I g pick up Ruby and carry the poor girl to the car. She is still half awake and is struggling to survive. She is crying and whimpering in pain. I hold her hand tight.
"Please stay with me Ruby...I need you.." say as I cry to her.
She looks at me but struggles as she crys in pain more.
We all run to th car and I speed to the hospital.
"Oh fuck! Kylie your going- REALLY FAST!" Malia says as she closes her eyes and clings onto Ruby who is in Malia's arms.
I stop at a light. "I'm sorry! I was only going 85! I JSUT WANNA GET MY FUCKING FRIEND TO A HOSPITAL AND THIS LIGHT IS BEING A BITCH!" I say screaming as I honk and cry.
"Kylie please calm down. I promise you with my life and my heart she will be okay." Malia says smiling at me and holding my hand.
I smile back and stare at Ruby who is clenching too Malia's shirt and her hand as she is in pain.
"Ruby let me see your head." She leans back at me and crys in pain. I look at her bloody, red, and bruised. I widen my eyes in shock as they fill with tears.
Malia looks at me and nods.
I look back at the streetlight and see it's FINALLY turned green. I instantly push on the gas until I look at Malia who is grabbing onto my hand like she's scared, I look at our intertwined hands and slow down.
She smiles at me and looks at Ruby.
God I hope Malia is right about this... I'm so scared...
