The last thing Mingyu would expect to see at 5 in the morning was a tiny pair of doe eyes blinking down at him, staring at him as if he were some unknown creature.
The tiny human looked adorable, her soft cherubic hands moving cautiously as she moved to touch the unfamiliar being. Mingyu let the cherub touch his face, he smiled as the little one moved to touch his nose.
"Mi oh!" She announced as she moved to touch her own smaller nose which was pink from just waking up from her slumber. Mingyu's eyebrows knitted together in confusion at the foreign sounds the girl made but it took a bit of thinking to understand what she was saying. "Yumi too," 'Mi' is the way she referred to herself.
"Yeah...I guess we both have noses." He yawned in between his sentences as he rose from his bed. His feet collided with the cold marble flooring, and reality started to pour in.
The man was about to walk out of his room if it wasn't for the whine that left Yumi's mouth, he turned around to see her arms stretched out, her chubby fingers clutching and unclutching around nothing.
Mingyu reached out and hoisted the infant into his arms, holding the tiny human to his chest. He felt like he could break the cherubic creature in his arms, he was afraid he could repeat history.
"Mama..." Yumi trailed off as she acted as if she was asleep before her head shot back up. "I think so..." He trailed off as he peered into the room opposite his and Vanessa's, the door was slightly ajar.
Mingyu's eyes stared at the angelic being that was sprawled out on the bed, its raven locks falling over his cheeks and lips curved into a pout as it snored quietly, too deep in its slumber.
The white sheets were wrapped loosely around the being's figure as if he were a Greek god, all his best attributes on display.
The curves of his body, his soft skin, his angelic face and the ink engraved into the lower back of its skin, the black ink forming a very detailed image of the crucifix.
Everything about him was ethereal.
Mingyu stepped out of the room, "Your mum is still sleeping." He delivered the news to the little replica of the angelic being he had just seen a few seconds ago as if she hadn't seen it with her own eyes.
Yumi nods before pointing to her stomach, "Mi ah polish."
It takes the man a few more seconds to get what the little girl is saying before it clicks. "Gimme a bit..." He trailed off as he thought about all the food he had in the house that was infant-friendly.
"Apple sauce! Do you like apple sauce?" He asked, moving to the kitchen before placing Yumi on the counter.
"Ah'le 'uce!" The girl grinned, her two front teeth appearing, bunnyteeth.
Mingyu couldn't help but smile at the sight, the little girl was way too cute.
"I'm guessing that's a yes." Mingyu quirked an eyebrow, Yumi nodded, her bunny grin never disappearing.
