Yo first fic let's goooo. I've been wanting to write something for a minute, and then fnf updated plus a new mod, I was hooked. As you can see, I've fallen down a rabbit hole and ended up back in the pibby verse. So why not write something in the peak of my hyperfixation.

I am a somewhat new writer and this is my first fanfiction ever so constructive criticism is welcome, just don't be a dick and be unhelpful cus that's not cool :)This fic was inspired by the Pibby Apocalypse mod, Pibby Corrupted mod, and zs_Firefly's Pibby AU on ao3. Credits to all that, check them out, they're all cool. I own nothing besides this fic and its writing, all the characters are owned by their respective creators.

Remember. This is not just a story. This is our future.

It's frightening how so much can change in a matter of a day, almost laughable. How the world that you lived your whole life in and believed it was the only world out there, now left in mere ruins of catastrophic events. Everything you thought you knew of is shattered and replaced with thoughts of doubt circling your mind. But all knowledge is good knowledge, right?

When you're someone in a world that was filled with blissful happiness, a world that had no room for sadness or hardships to experience, were you ever truly happy? It makes you wonder what would happen when that same someone is ripped away from that happy world and thrown into the horrors of great danger after years of being shielded by said danger and complex emotions. You can't expect much from them. After all, a fledgling must learn to fly or fall to their death.

Everyone once in their life have speculated about what the apocalypse would look like, how their world would end up, how society would fall as everything crashes down around and conflict rises. It's all mostly talk, but on April 20th 20XX, they got their answer. In some cases, it was a spitting image but no one would've thought of it ending up like this.

No one knew it was coming. And if they did, they would either be lying to save their own ego or weren't able to prevent it themselves. It doesn't matter anyway. Especially not now.

It was a normal day until it wasn't. What once was places filled with regular people of those universes, is now filled with deafening silence, followed along with distant screams and rushing liquid. Shadows of them now paint the walls in the black of night where threat levels are at its highest. Buildings and streets had been covered with this strange black liquid consistency, reverting in and out of color as it called out to anything that lived. It had reached out with its long glitched tendrils. Turning them into horribly disfigured and misshapen bodies of what used to be friends and allies, they roamed these places, each described to be smiling as they searched for new victims to infect and spread The Darkness.

If you were, perhaps, from an outside perspective, it must have been intriguing to watch who had survived and who had been dragged into the deviated and pitch black fluid. Curiosity in who would live or die is a common and almost normal feeling, especially when you're not the one living in the present. Makes it even more difficult when you have no power to intervene nor interact. Call it harsh but where is the lie?

Nevertheless, an outside perspective looking in is just as powerless as the people who had held out after many had fallen. There's only one thing that differs from the outsiders, these individuals have the power to make change. They may not see it now but it's there.

Waiting for them.

A word of advice to the lucky survivors who remain all scattered across these worlds.

Keep moving. Hiding will help no one. They will find you eventually. And the faces of lost loved ones will be the last thing you see.

No one is coming to save you. Get up.
