British Empire (B.E.) was born in the year 1728. He was born as a normal human child, but really unique. He was the first son of the king. But as everyone thought he was a normal human child, the truth was way deeper. His skin would sometimes have the flag of the country.
One day he was walking out in the garden, thinking about a key he found in his bedroom. 'Where could I use it?' he thought.
It was then when he heard heavy breathing.
B.E.- Hello?
Byzantium- Who are you?
Byzantium said as she held her knife, pointing it at him. But B.E. didn't seem threatened. Her beauty was something rare in their times.
B.E.- Tell me your name, please. I'm B.E., the first son of the king. I won't say anything to my father about you.
Byzantium- I'm Byzantium. Nice to meet you, prince.
B.E.- It seems you are lost and that you are hiding from someone.
Byzantium- Well, two guards thought that I stole something but that's a lie. Oh no, they are coming.
B.E.- Don't worry. Hide behind those trees. I'll tell them to leave.
Byzantium hid behind the trees as the guards approached them.
Guard 1- My prince, we are search of a woman with golden hair and golden eyes and also really beautiful. Have you seen her, my prince?
B.E.- No, I just came to take a walk. Now LEAVE.
Guard 1 and 2- Yes sir.
As they left, Byzantium got out of hiding.
Byzantium- Thank you prince.
B.E.- Please, call me Britain.
Byzantium- Ok, um, Britain.
After two days, Byzantium and B.E. met again this started to happen more frequently. And as their relationship grew closer, B.E.'s love for Byzantium grew more and more. That was until B.E. heard that he had to marry Napoleonic France (N.F), something that he didn't like. So, when he went to meet secretly Byzantium, he told her.
Byzantium- Britain, what's wrong? You seem upset.
B.E.- My father told me I have to marry N.F., but I don't want to, I don't love him.
Byzantium- It'll be okay, trust me.
B.E.- Okay.
B.E. looked at her and smiled sadly. He really didn't want to marry that french toad but he didn't have any other option.
