CHAPTER - 10

I glance back at NaYeon and JeongYeon and-

I almost screamed, but didnt. Instead give out a small gasp in surprise. I rub my eyes, trying to make sure I wasn't hallucinating from the blood loss.

They were kissing, lip locking, making out, snogging or whatever you want to call it!

JeongYeon and NaYeon jump apart, hearing my gasp. JeongYeon's eyes widen when she realizes that I saw it. But then, she sees my current position with JiHyo and raises an eyebrow.

"So... haha NaYeon, you finally got together with your crush?" I say, trying to set the awkwardness at ease.

NaYeon's eyes widen. "Sana!" She exclaims, cheeks flushing, while she tries to cover her embarrassed face with her palms.

However technically, JeongYeon and JiHyo were still together.

But JiHyo and I almost kissed and JeongYeon did kiss NaYeon. So they were cheating on each other? As if this wasn't complicated enough already.

JeongYeon smirks at NaYeon.

"Uhh....." NaYeon was at a loss for words.

Okay, this was it. We needed to solve this whole mess.

"JiHyo, wake up." I shake her gently.

She was a light sleeper so it wasn't that hard to wake her up.

She rubs her eyes. "Whaaa habbend?" She yawns, then notices our position.

I blush and quickly untangle myself from her.

"You and JeongYeon need to have a little... talk." I say, pulling her up with my good arm and pushing her to JeongYeon.

I then grab NaYeon's hand and lead her to a spot behind some boxes.

"We're gonna spy on them, right?" She asks.

"Duh. definitely." I reply as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

We stay dead silent, waiting for them to speak.

"We need to break up."

"We should break up"

The two of them say at the same time.

My mouth drops once again, and I look to NaYeon. This was the happiest I've been since this whole apocalypse started. My chest flutters, hope rising. NaYeon had another goofy grin on her face, her feelings matching mine.

"Wait what?"

"Wait what?"

They say at the same time again.

"I know why I'm breaking up with you, but why are you breaking up with me?" JeongYeon asks.

JiHyo looks down at her shoes, a light blush on her face.

"I could ask you the same thing." She responds.

Now it was JeongYeon's turn to blush. She takes a quick glance to where she last saw NaYeon.

"Wait a minute." JiHyo says, connecting the dots. "You like NaYeon!" She shouts.

JeongYeon panics and quickly puts her hand over her mouth. Meanwhile, NaYeon was doing a little happy dance.

"NaYeon, calm down." I whisper. "They're going to know that we're listening."

NaYeon doesn't listen and continues to dance, doing some sort of a tiktok hook step.
