Lungmen, the city of Yan that held a great degree of independence. It was one of the world's greatest cities of commerce. But at the same time, such a thing meant that it was prone to have a large degree of criminal activities happening within.
Working day and night, the LGD was tasked with keeping order within the city's borders, preventing any potential threat or criminal activity from happening. Although, to say they were doing a magnificent job wasn't the best descriptor.
Thankfully though, even on their bad days, they were still 'meeting standards,' but meeting standards was not something Ch'en was inclined to be satisfied with. It should always be at its best, despite whatever would be thrown at it.
Right now, the LGD was not at its best, considering the rampant crime rates because of those damned Blood Hounds increasing in numbers like rabbits reproducing. Also, no thanks to the black haired man that had been living rent free in her head, taking up most of the dragon lady's time when she went to search for him.
Right now, he was right in front of her.
"What's your name?" Ch'en spoke bluntly. The first thing she needed to know was his name, and hopefully he wouldn't lie about it. She considered herself to be good at detecting lies, but with how inexpressive the other... or rather, only man in the room was... It would be hard to tell.
The Head Superintendent sat at the forefront of her desk, with Hoshiguma and Swire sitting to her right and left respectively.
On the other side, the black haired man was sitting down with a dead expression with his own chair. Lin Yuhsia had promptly decided to remain standing by him.
A TV channel was in the corner of the high rise office room, its volume had been turned down to a degree where it could be heard, but wouldn't be a bother.
"...Fushiguro Megumi," strangely enough, the now named Megumi had replied without so much as a hitch. "Just call me Megumi..."
The foggy atmosphere that seemed to have been plagued from rigidness instantly broke when he spoke his name, a certain woman barely being able to contain her laughter.
"Pfft," Swire placed a hand over her mouth, barely containing a laugh, "ah, ah, sorry~," the woman turned away and continued giggling to herself. Her tail was swishing while leaning over attempting her damndest to keep this a serious event.
Hoshiguma raised an eyebrow, turning her gaze to the laughing tiger lady, and then back to Ch'en.
Ch'en was... Unamused to say the least, "...is that fake? Don't mess with me." It had to be, who the hell would name a male with a female name? She knew Higashinese, and the name pronunciation he used was a female one. She would check it on any records later.
"It's his actual name," Lin crossed her arms and clarified, "yes, he has a female's name." The mouse lady seemed to hold an expression that said, 'don't judge.'
Megumi... was starting to wonder if he could go to the afterlife and beat his father to a bloody pulp. Whoever the hell he was.
"Ah! Wait, wait, what if he's actually a female!" Swire had stopped laughing, eyes widening and tail shooting up straight. The glow in her eyes seemed to say that she had discovered a 'revelation.'
"Swire..." Ch'en wanted to call her tiger bitch, but restrained herself. This was a professional matter they were going through after all, and she'd be grateful to her of all people if she could take it with the same seriousness as-
"It's a completely valid question," Swire shrugged, "I mean, if he wanted to be an intimidating criminal in the Underworld, why would he pick a female name?"
