Chapter 6.5

Ueda Rin POV
"It has been a long day Ueda. You should take a break. "
Those words if advise were always echoing in my mind. Yet I do not listen.
"Ueda, there has been a bully case yesterday. Can you look into it? "
"Prezs! I need help! "
"Ueda, about the assembly next week... "

I have always been looked up too.  Asked to help with the schools activities and cases. I am the Student Council President. If I am irresponsible and a useless leader, then everyone will fall. So I cannot falter. I must keep going no matter what. For them. For us.

"Rin! "

It was never easy for someone like me. I will never forget where are started from.

I remember when I was in my first year of middle school. I was fighting and trying my best to be elected as the Student Council president. I was alone during those times, I never worked well with others. Nor I can socialize properly. However I cannot stop there, there's a reason for me to have done this, so I must carry on and move.

"Hey, that's Ueda."

"Yeah, she is always so serious and so gloomy. "

"It is so difficult to approach her. She always have her guard up. "

"She is so talented, she must have no other hobbies. "

"She looks like she would be stuck in her room reading and studying forever. No wonder she does not look good most of the time. "

"Nerd... "

However I did not care what they said. I had to become the Student Council President. No matter what.

While walking down the hallway to make it to class. I covered my ears to block out their whispers. They were whispers, yet they were so loud. They do not know me... Why I do this to myself... Torture myself and suffer. I do this for a reason.

"Ouch! "

Someone had bumped into me I look down to have found a silver haired girl with amber eyes. Holding her head in pain and have fallen to the ground with books and her pencil case on the floor.

I quickly squat down to pick up her stuff and apologized to the girl.

"I am deeply sorry for bit paying attention. Are you injured? " I asked politely.

"N-no. Haha. I wasn't looking and paying attention too. "

She quickly picks up her stuff too and I helped gather her belonging.

"Hey. What's your name? " She asks me with a smile on her face. She tucks her hair behind her hair as I get a glimpse of her face properly. Her hair sliky and she is had a sweet look.

"Ueda Rin. I am a first year here. "

"Oh! Just like me! I am Sumire. Sumire Jiu LiuYing. I am half Chinese half Japanese. I transferred here today. So... It's been a bit hectic. "

"I understand. My first day here is hectic as well. "

"Then we are on the same boat. Hehe. " She had a smile on her face at all times. It was weird. I did not understand why she was smiling at me. Especially this brightly with someone as serious and awkward as me.

"Do you need anymore assistance? If so please let me know. " I did not want anything to be tardy and wanted to leave immediately.

"Oh! Umm... Ah... Eh... "

What was she saying? The vowels? I could not understand this girl at all.

"Oh! Yeah, Rin. Let's be friends! "
She clasp her hands together and smiled at me again. Friends? Why? And why is she on first name basis?
