Chapter 1: The Buried Mystery

The city of Tonzonga bustled with its usual morning energy. The streets were alive with people heading to work, the sound of car horns, and the hum of daily life. Among them was Dan, a renowned scientist and doctor, on his usual morning jog. He passed the towering structure of the Tonzonga bank, his thoughts drifting, until something unusual caught his eye.

A crowd had gathered near the entrance of the bank, murmurs of concern rippling through them. Dan, his curiosity piqued, pushed his way through the throng of people. What he saw made his heart race-Tim, his close friend, lay unconscious on the pavement.

Without a second thought, Dan lifted Tim and rushed him to the nearby hospital. As doctors tended to his friend, Dan grabbed his phone and dialed a number he knew well-Ken, Tim's boss and the top detective in Tonzonga.

"Ken, it's Dan. You need to get to the hospital. Tim... he's unconscious. It looks serious."

Ken's voice was calm but firm. "I'll be there right away."

Within minutes, Ken arrived at the hospital. His sharp, detective's eyes quickly assessed the situation. Jim, another detective and Tim's best friend, stood by, his face clouded with worry. Ken knew Jim was deeply affected-Tim was more than a partner to him.

"I'll get to the bottom of this," Ken vowed. "I'll find out what happened."

Ken wasted no time in starting his investigation. His first stop was the bank where Tim had collapsed. He requested to view the security footage from the cameras outside the building.

What Ken saw in the footage chilled him to the bone.

A black van had pulled up beside Tim. The door slid open, and masked men in black clothing attempted to pull Tim into the van. Tim resisted, shouting for help, which drew the attention of the crowd. Before they could escape, one of the men struck Tim with an iron rod, knocking him unconscious. The van sped off, but not before Ken noticed the words painted on its side: Flame. Accompanying the name was the image of a burning flame.

Ken's phone buzzed with a message. His instincts told him it wasn't good news. As he read the message, his stomach dropped.

"A policeman has been found hanged at the Tonzonga airport," it read. "There's a note in his hand. It says, 'I am the leader of Flame. You know me very well.'"

Ken's mind raced. Flame... the name stirred something in him. He rushed to the police station, determined to find out more about this group.

Digging through old case files, Ken stumbled upon a chilling revelation. Ten years ago, a gang known as Flame had terrorized the city of Tonzonga. In their most infamous act, they had burned 20 policemen alive. The city had been thrown into chaos, but just as suddenly as the gang appeared, they vanished, leaving behind nothing but fear and unanswered questions.

Ken stood in the police archives, the weight of the past pressing down on him. The Flame gang had returned. And this time, Ken was determined to uncover their secrets.
