"She could have had lived a bit longer. Not much but a bit. Maybe they would have been able to develop a cure!...but she lost all the patience she had for them."
Patches Namoni (Nuh-mon-e) was always a sickly child. When she turned 5 she was fully diagnosed with a...weird new disease. It was unnamed, and there was no progress to a cure. So she was hospitalized to be watched over safely.
Patches wanted to live the life of every other child. Go to school, play in the park, do the things everyone else could...but she couldn't without the risk of fainting or getting injured. So she spent most of her days stuck in her hospital bed, bored out of her mind, stuck in the uncomfortable hospital gown.
Years passed by...her parents barely visited due to their grief...but she always saw it as a hatred. She viewed herself as a burden to her family for so long, so the "hatred" was valid in her eyes.
When turning 14, she had snapped...she ripped the IV out of her hand, put on a jacket, grabbed a toy knife, and ran out of the hospital in the night...and ran towards Mount Ebott. Patches climbed it, exhausted, and fell in.
On the patches of golden flowers, a tall goat lady had walked up to Patches. Introducing herself as Toriel, the caretaker of the ruins. Patches was cautious at first, but followed Toriel. Patches didn't remember much about the tale of the monsters besides the fact they were trapped underground for a reason, and so she didn't wish to harm them.
Toriel guided Patches through the ruins, taking her to her home, treating her as her own daughter. Patches made friends along the way, exploring the ruins with Toriel's permission. Patches explored the ruins for a total of 2 days. But Patches got curious.
In the middle of the night, Patches snuck out of the home...and into snowdin. The cold was harsh against her skin..and suddenly, she fell. She tried to move..but she couldn't...
She fainted, muttering her last words:
"mommy....daddy...i'm sorry..."
then died. Her soul was collected by a nearby monster who saw the event, it was then turned into King Asgore.
