Chapter 2

"Your kidding right?" I sit down on her bed. My thoughts overloading my brain.

"No. Sadly I'm telling you the truth." Kate's eyes shifted to her bare feet.

"How? When?"Why did I think I was the only girl that he was attracted to.

"I was walking to school, and there they were. Jake had his arms around her."

"Who is her?" I felt numb. My body was just numb. I wanted to block out the world. He meant so much to me.

Flashbacks came running back to me.

"Delilah Jones, will you be my Girlfriend? " Jake's smile light brighter than the sun. His eyes turing green in the daylight. It was the perfect moment.

"Yes. I will." I hugged Jake. Taking in his warmth, and his sweet smell.

His smile, was the thing I missed the most in this world.

"I think she's Nicole Williams." Kate breaks my thoughts.

"Nicole? When we were together he said he hated her! He said she was always so stuck up! Im being replaced by her! He can do so much better." I get up, and start walking in circles. The way I always did when I was angry.

"Jealous much?"

"Yes jealous! He means everything to me! Now he doesn't even care about me. Did he even love me? He probably didn't he couldn't move on that fast."

"Maybe he can forget easily?" She tries to help, but fails.

"How? How can he forget two year of his life, just like that? Impossible.Unless he never cared. Unless he never loved me." I start to break down. I felt the tears overflow. It was just a horrible feeling, knowing that he never loved me. Two years of my life, wasted.

"You don't know that! Now stop crying , your making me feel bad!" I felt Kate's arms wrap around me.

"How am I going to figure that out?" I wipe some tears off my eyes, trying to not let any more escape.

Then out of nowhere we hear the sound of a car. Not any car, Jake's car.

We both look at each other. I get up and run to the window. Kate tries to beat me to it, but falls down in the process.

It was Jake all right. He was getting out of his car. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him again. For a moment I thought his eyes met with mine. Just for a spilt of a second.

" We can always ask..." Kate's voice drifted off.

"He won't talk to me.He told me clearly to move on, and forget about him." I climb on Kate's bed. It was all messed up from all the sitting, and moving around.

"Oh yes he will, or my name isn't Kate Oak." She runs to her closet, and grabs some shoes. She quickly puts them on.

"What are you doing?"

"Just follow me and shut up." Kate starts to head downstairs.

"Wait! Kate. I don't think I can handle the truth."

"Well, at least you'll get closure right?" Kate smiles. That makes me feel better. Yeah, maybe it won't be the answer I want to hear, but it will give a little bit of closure. The only problem with that is, I'm not sure I want closure.

"I guess." I follow Kate. Once we get to her front door she halts, making me stop too.

"Okay, now I need you to hide in a bush or something while I get him outside okay?" She sounded crazy, but I just nodded. Kate's plan usually worked.
