APPENDIX II
You ask questions, I answer:
1. Do you resonate with any characters in the story? Who's the most relatable to you?
The most relatable character to me is Eshal's character. She is silent, yet when she speaks, the words she spews are meaningful. Ayna's character is also pretty relatable, considering her mind begins slacking off when she's tense, she's literally reading all day when not busy, and is a clean freak yet has phases of scattering stuff around.
2. One thing you'd change?
Honestly, I would love to change the entire storyline, and works are in progress. Just so that you do not get confused about what I am going to do, let me give a clear chit about it.
3. What was the toughest part?
The toughest part was filling in scenes when they began falling short. There is a chain of thought that one has when you are making up the story, and it so happens with me that when I actually write, the words fall short to what I want to describe.
4. Favorite line?
Ah! There are so many! Some of them are:
"Aapsay tou baat karnay ka fayda hi nahin hai. Yaa tou meraa dimagh kharaab hou gayaa hai, yaa main patthar pa sar maar rahi houn." ~ Ayna Wahhed-Ayham, Chapter 02
"Aik tou mushkil se hi kabaab banntay hain iss khaandaan mein, aur jabb banntay hain, tou uss par bhi raid padd jaati hai." ~ Nabeel Ayham, Chapter 05
"Mainay Allah se sabr ki maang ki thi, aur ussnay meray duaaoun ka silaa aapki soorat mein day diya." ~ Ayna Wahhed-Ayham, Chapter 05
Which is your favorite line?
5. Your favorite scene?
The scene where Nabeel calls for Ayna and teases her, it MELTS my heart into a chocolate puddle.
6. Who's your favorite character?
Abeer. Although I desperately need to do an entire makeover for her character arc, she's the bomb.
7. How did you come up with this book?
The Ayhams are the first characters I ever created, back when I did not even have a place to showcase my stories. Initially it was just Nabeel and Ayna, but then I got inspired by someone real-life for the ten Ayham siblings and their families. I just wanted to create a Ramadan sequence in the story, and didn't even know when the entire novel circulated about the holy month!
8. Did you pre-plan the whole thing or did you make the plot as you went on?
Definitely the latter. I take a lot of time perfecting my plot so I just began with the premise and characters and went on.
9. Any plans for future books?
The Ayhams' Series:
1. Unnamed Novel (Full fledged novel on Ayna and Nabeel)
2. The Ayhams' Ramadan (Short Ramadan Novella with impending plotline change)
3. The Ayhams: Shaadiyaanay (Spinoff with Jamshayd's story)
Thank you to @qanootshahid14 and others who readily posted questions for me! You all can still post questions and I will update the chapter as and when I can!
