"All passagngers may depart Scottish Airlines, " the announcement was made.

Obviously, people were pushing each other, rushing to get out of the airplane as soon as possible. I mean, if they had reasons, then I guessed it was reasonable. I fixed my hair before putting my headphones on to ignore the hustle and bustle in the airplane. I blasted music in my ears - call me indifferent, I really don't care. I am that type of friend to blast music at 4 in the morning.

I felt extremely claustrophobic in the airplane. After departing, I heaved a sigh of relief. I held onto my bag as I walked through the security without any hesitation.

"Clear, " the machine stated in bright green font.

I smiled to myself before I grabbed my bag and strolled around the airport. I breathed in the atmosphere. My homeland. Korea. Gimpo. Nostalgia washed over me as I smiled like a Cheshire Cat. Not gonna lie, I think I kinda forgot how to speak Korean.

I then saw a cafe. It used to be my favorite. It sold pasteries, desserts and drinks! I decided to step inside the cafe. The same of pasteries intoxicated my nostrils as I looked around to find a seat. Bingo! I placed my bag on the chair and took out my wallet from my pocket. I then lined up patiently like how I'd usually would in Scotland or Ireland or Austria. No Offence, but I prefer Korea as I would often get discriminated because of my appearance.

Once it was my turn, I looked at the server and realised that it was the same one from when I was 6! She immediately recognized me - or so I thought.

"Mrs Yonghyun Kim? How lovely to see you once more! " she said in her usual tone.

I believe her name was... Ms Lee.

"Actually, I'm her daughter, Jihyeong Kim, " I smiled softly at Ms Lee.

She seemed baffled.

"Really? Wow, I guess the phrase like 'mother like daughter' really exists! " she chuckled as I did the same.

I then placed my order - A strawberry cream-filled croissant. I adored strawberries since young!

"It's been a while. You've grown up so much!! Where are your parents? Are they healthy? " she enquired.

"They're back in Scotland, doing some business related things. They sent me back since I was practically begging them to do so, " I chuckled before adding, "Take care! "

The cafe's efficiency was still the same as before! I received my croissant in under 7 minutes and I savoured the feeling of the croissant. Although the pastry tasted slightly different, it still had it's essense of tasting like strawberry.

I exited the cafe with a contented heart. I was full - for now - and I had nothing to do. So, I decided to sit down on a seat near the terminal. Suddenly, a wave of memory flodded my brain...

"Wait!! Jihyeong!! " I heard someone yell out my name.

I turned around and saw Minho running at lightning speed towards me. Once he reached me, he put his hands on his knees and panted loudly.

"Don't go, " he pleaded for me as he looked into my eyes.

I didn't break the contact. I felt so bad. I couldn't just say 'oh I won't leave you!' It's my parents decision and I had no right to go against them.

"I'm sorry Minho. I have to. But... I'll meet you in... 12 years time? " I commented.

He groaned, " 12???? So long... "

"Better than 15," I chuckled sarcastically.

We then smiled at each other before I disappeared into the airplane.

I smiled to myself. Lee Minho. My childhood best friend. We used to play during recess every time, every day. We adored our friendship. We were young, innocent children. I really missed my childhood here in Gimpo.

My mind then wandered back to my promise that I would meet him in 12 years. Well, here I am! The question is, where is he? I sighed. There was no way that he could actually believe that I was here in the terminal, all alone.

I shook my head in disapproval before I got up and strolled around the airport again. Gimpo international airport was the last place that I saw him. The memories of my childhood never failed to make me smile.

I then decided to blast music into my ears as usual. I then started to vibe with the music. I blasted '10 out of 10' by 2pm as the song was so slay and very sigma. Suddenly, I felt a tug on my sleeve. I took off my headphones and turned around. My jaw dropped.

Minho? Is that you?
