Strangers to Lovers

From strangers we began, just passing by,
No glances exchanged, no reason to try.
Then classmates we became, shared desks and space,
Small conversations, a familiar face.

Friends we became, with laughter and care,
Secrets exchanged, a bond growing there.
Best friends, no doubt, through thick and through thin,
Every joke shared felt like a win.

Bestest friends, a title so true,
No one else knew me quite like you.
But life took a turn, and enemies we became,
Hurtful words, cold looks, and blame.

Yet time is a healer, it softens the pain,
From enemies to friends, we rebuilt again.
Best friends once more, stronger than before,
The bond even deeper, impossible to ignore.

And then, somewhere along the line,
We crossed that space, you became mine.
From strangers to lovers, the journey long,
But through it all, we stayed strong.
