Raven buzzed with excitement as she prepared for her flight. The room vibrated with her energy, the wide-open window allowing the sunshine to dance across her face. She twirled and swayed to the music pumping through her earphones, her white silk chiffon Avovavou dress fluttering around her. Her Gucci Blondie bag hung stylishly from her shoulder, complemented by her Miu Miu enamelled metal ring and Cdior S1F sunglasses perched on her head. White heeled ankle boots completed her chic ensemble.
Just as she was finishing up, the doorbell rang. Maya stood at the door, clad in comfortable pyjama pants, looking every inch the laid-back counterpart to Raven's glamour. "Whoa, Raven, where are you off to?" she asked, eyeing Raven's outfit.
Raven rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "India, for your cousin's wedding, remember?"
Maya chuckled. "Exactly, it's my cousin's wedding, not yours. Why so much effort? We're just going for the preparations."
Before Raven could respond, the doorbell rang again. This time, it was Cassias, looking dashing in his polo shirt and pants. "Aren't we running late? Our flight is in half an hour," he said, his eyes locked on Raven's.
Raven's excitement spiked. "Right on time, glad I've company," she said with a smile, grabbing her bag and following Cassias out the door, leaving Maya to trail behind.
Maya called out from behind, "You can't reach there without tickets, can you?"
Raven turned, a sarcastic smile spreading across her face. "You're right."
In perfect sync, Cassias and Raven pulled out their phones, displaying their online flight tickets. Maya's tease fell flat, and they shared a laugh at her expense.
The trio made their way to the airport, joining the queue to check-in. After completing the formalities, they proceeded to security and eventually boarded the flight. As they settled into their seats, Maya and Cassias sat together, leaving Raven to occupy the adjacent row.
Just as Raven was getting comfortable, a flustered KC rushed in, apologizing for his delay. As he settled into the seat beside Raven, Cassias's eyes narrowed slightly, a spark of jealousy igniting within.
Maya, sensing the tension, exchanged a mischievous glance with Raven, clearly enjoying the drama unfolding.
Raven, oblivious to Cassias's subtle unease, enthusiastically showed KC the gifts she'd bought for Maya's cousin. As they chatted, their chemistry became apparent. KC's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, and Raven's laughter mingled with his.
Maya leaned over to Cassias, whispering, "Looks like someone's going to become a couple soon." Her voice was barely audible over the hum of the engine, but Cassias's raised eyebrow indicated he'd caught the hint.
As the flight attendants began their safety demonstrations, Cassias's gaze drifted back to Raven and KC, his expression thoughtful. Little did he know, this trip would be filled with more than just wedding celebrations.
Maya: "So, Cassias, what do you think of Raven's new hairstyle? Doesn't it suit her perfectly?"
(Cassias's eyes lock onto Raven's reddish hair, his expression softening)
Maya: "They look cute together don't they?" (smirks to see how he reacts)
