Meyu, Y'sila and Kaede rested within Meyu's home, the viera having invited over her new adventuring partners for a nice, relaxing afternoon. The three sat on the couch, Y'sila and Kaede explaining all about their past adventures--both bad and good.
"You two may have annoyed me when we first met, but I think I'm starting to warm up to the idea of the three of us being a team," Meyu sighed, leveling her eyes at Y'sila. "Though it would help if some people would pay more attention to where they're driving their hippo carts while in Thavnair!"
The miqo'te's ears flopped. "I said I was sorry! Don't tell me you're still holding a grudge about that!"
"Nah, I'm just messing with you," Meyu chuckled. "You know, you're pretty cute when you get flustered."
Y'sila blushed, offering an awkward giggle.
In reality, Meyu wasn't messing with her at all. The whole reason she had invited the two adventurers over was to get some proper revenge for them squashing her flat; Y'sila's incident with the hippo cart and Kaede's lack of spatial awareness when opening doors. She had plans for these two, ones that would give some payback and maybe earn Meyu some gil at the same time.
These two are so easy to trick, Meyu thought devilishly. Just give the miqo'te attention and the au ra snacks and they'll turn into putty in my hands. This is going to be easier than I thought. Speaking of which...
"Enjoying those snacks, Kae?" Meyu asked, turning her attention to the au ra.
"Mmhm!" Kaede mumbled with a smile, her mouth full of a freshly baked coffee biscuit.
"Theshe are the besht! Sho shweet!"
"Thanks! It's an old family recipe. Actually, do you mind helping me with something? I've got a couple more boxes of them in one of my side rooms if you want to help me grab them." Meyu leaned forward and slid her finger gently under Kaede's chin before turning on her viera charm. "You don't mind, do you?"
Kaede's face flushed red as she swallowed the last crumbs of biscuit in her mouth. "Uh...s-sure."
"Perfect! Come with me." Meyu stood, grabbing Kaede by the hand and leading her into the other room. "We'll be right back, Ys! Don't you worry!"
Y'sila pouted, feeling a spark of jealousy that Kaede was getting more attention than she was. As much as she hated to admit it, Meyu was a professional at charming people. It seemed like she already worked her magic on Kaede the first time they met. Darn that cute viera...
Meyu stepped into the side room, allowing Kaede to go first. A number of boxes of various sizes sat in this storage room along with a couple pieces of large laundry equipment. Kaede didn't bother to notice the equipment as her mind was focused on more tasty snacks.
"So, which one do you want me to grab?" Kaede asked.
Meyu stood behind her with a devious smirk. "That one over there near the corner. It's kinda big, so I was hoping a big, strong au ra warrior like you could carry it."
"That's it? Heh, that's nothing!" Kaede walked over to where the box was, oblivious to the fact that it was carefully positioned directly next to a large steam press. As the au ra bent down to lift the box, Meyu made her move. She used her dancing skills to dash towards Kaede and gave her a swift shove. Kaede yelped as she flopped onto the press face-down. Before she had a chance to react, Meyu brought the top of the press down on top of the au ra.
*SQUISH* *HISSSS*
A burst of steam spouted from the press. Meyu held the top down for a few seconds before lifting it up and revealing a flat, freshly pressed au ra. Kaede was as flat as a cardboard cutout, face-down. Her arms were by her side, her feet pointed downward. Meyu smirked as she scooped the flat au ra off of the press, reveling in her work. Kaede wore a dizzy expression, her cheeks flushed from the hot steam.
