I had plans w my friends but my parents said they would ground me for a MONTH if I didn't go with them.
And since I don't want to be home for a month while I had a really important race next week, I decided to go with them, it wouldn't be long and Nicolas is going to be there too.
He is the son of the robberto family who run the ace group in south America, we're friends but he lives in south America so we don't hang out a lot.

We arrived at the place where the meeting was and it felt...... weird, since I've been here once in my life and this is my second time.
We got out of the car and the first person I saw was Nicolas, he was waiting outside. For someone?
I went up to him as my parents went inside
"What's up man?" I said as we shook hands
"Hey bro, how are u doing?" He gave me a smile
"I'm good, thanks, what are u doing outside?"
"Oh yea, I came outside since our parents and Catalina were talking about work which I dont like and Adeline didn't even say a word to start a conversation"
"Adeline? The rude girl?" I asked , that girl was rude the moment she said her first word as a kid
"Dude trust me she has become even hotter, I haven't seen her in like 3 years and she just became prettier" he grinned and nodded towards the entrance door as I crossed my arms
"I haven't seen her in 5 years and I'm sure she's still the rude cold girl I saw 5 years ago" I glanced at the door and turned back to Nicolas "and I don't know I just never liked her guts "
He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked away "you don't like any girls guts" he murmured under his breath but i managed to hear it
"What? No, I do -"
"Cassie doesn't count, c'mon man I know she betrayed you but not every girl is like her" he shot a glance at me "maybe u should shoot your shot on Adeline, your good at flirting, she's pretty" he said "and maybe she's not like cold and rude when she becomes close to you"
"Okay, there are plenty of girls who I can date, so why would I go to someone that doesn't even care that exist?" I pffed, not looking at him but he turned to me and crossed his arms
"Who said she doesn't?" He grinned
"I highly doubt that"
"Lucas, her cousin, told me she's not like that if u get to know her" he tried to convince me but i shook my head "C'mon man your not gonna die"
"Nope, not happening" I flashed an annoyed smile "let's go inside, we're not talking about this"
We went inside and all of them were there talking about work and stuff
"Hello guys, nice to see you" I said giving them a smile as they greeted me
I sat next to Nicolas since he's the only one I can talk to but just when I sat down, I lifted my head to see Adeline right in front of Me.
Her face emotionless as always, I mean she looked pretty but i just don't like her, pretty sure she doesn't either.
I gave her a smile and she gave me a forcing one back.
our parents were explaining something important they need to take care of and told us to listen so we become used to the things since we are taking over in a few years.
Me, Nicolas and his sister Catalina were listening, the only one who wasn't was Adeline, she was on her phone and wasn't even paying attention.
After 20 mins they changed the topic schools, apparently my dad found my school really good, Nicolas and Catalina were fine too.
The only one that wasn't was Adeline's, why did this girl had odd in every single way possible?
"Addie, why don't we transfer you to Atlases school?" Mr.Alton said as he smiled and looked at Adeline.
Oh. Shit.
I shared a glance at Nicolas who was grinning , Good, now I have new thing on my to do list which is killing Nicolas.
"Nope, not happening, I'm doing good in my own school" she said crossing her arms.
This was the first time I heard her voice after 5 years, and it wasn't for good, it was well........ for refusing something.
"I know you are, but his school has smarter teacher and they could help you learn about business more" he tried to convince her
"I have no interest "she said, practically staring into nothing
"Maybe you will if you go there"
"I will only go if Nora and Lucas transfer too" she said
"I will talk to your uncle later" he said started talking to our parents again.
Ok yea, no, why of all schools in this city, Adeline had to transfer to mine?, this has a lot of people at fault, there is my dad for talking about my school, Mr.Alton for being so obsessed with my school, and then Adeline for......, I dont know actually, and me for existing.
After we ate, Catalina started talking with the parents while I dragged Nicolas outside
"Man this is fucked up" my eyes widened
"What about it? It looks perfect to me" he smiled
"If she comes to my school, her parents will ask me to show her around" i said "and since I don't even glance at girls in school, the whole school will think she's my girlfriend" I explained
"And?" He raised an eyebrow like this is totally normal
"Are you usually this stupid?"
"Not really, your the one who's stupid here" he pointed at me
