she so pretty

It had been a few weeks since that night in Billie's cottage, and the memory of their shared intimacy lingered in Lexi's mind like a vivid dream. She found herself thinking about it at the most unexpected times-walking through town, in the middle of a conversation, or late at night, alone in her room. Billie had surprised her. There was something about her-a soft shyness masking the wild spark beneath. Billie was freakier than Lexi had imagined, and the thought of it sent a shiver down her spine.

Now, as the middle of October settled in with cool breezes and the scent of fallen leaves, Lexi and Billie had become almost inseparable. They had spent nearly every day together, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment. It was hard to imagine a time when Billie wasn't part of Lexi's life. The thought of asking Billie to be her girlfriend had crossed Lexi's mind more than once, but she held off, waiting for the right moment-she wanted it to be perfect.

Tonight, their families were meeting for the first time.

The air in Lexi's house was warm with the scent of roasted vegetables, and the sound of casual conversation drifted from the dining room into the hallway. It was a small gathering-just Lexi's parents, Billie's parents, and, of course, Billie and Lexi. The idea of their families meeting had come up naturally; both sets of parents knew how close their daughters had become, and it seemed like the logical next step.

The dining room was filled with the sound of clinking silverware and soft laughter. Lexi's father told a story about something that had happened at work, making everyone laugh. Billie's mother chimed in with her own story, and the two families hit it off easily, the conversation flowing without effort.

But Lexi's attention was elsewhere.

Sitting across from Billie, Lexi couldn't help but stare. Billie was wearing a soft, oversized sweater, her long brunette hair framing her face in gentle waves. She looked so natural, so comfortable, and yet, Lexi couldn't stop her mind from wandering-thinking about all the ways she wanted to touch her, kiss her, feel her skin under her fingertips.

Their eyes met across the table, and Billie smiled-a soft, knowing smile that made Lexi's heart race. It was the kind of smile that told Lexi Billie knew exactly what she was thinking. For a moment, the rest of the room fell away, and it was just the two of them, locked in a quiet exchange that spoke volumes.

Shark, Billie's pitbull, barked from under the table, wagging his tail excitedly at the sight of all the people around him. Billie glanced down at him, her smile widening as she gave him a gentle scratch behind the ears. But even with her attention on Shark, Lexi could feel the weight of Billie's presence, pulling her in like a magnet.

As the evening wore on, Billie's subtle teasing grew more deliberate. Lexi could feel it in the way Billie's eyes lingered on her lips, the way she stretched just a little too slowly, her sweater slipping off one shoulder, revealing the smooth skin underneath. Lexi swallowed hard, trying to focus on the conversation around her, but it was useless. Billie had her fully under a spell.

Then, with a soft buzz, Lexi's phone vibrated on her lap.

She glanced down, subtly unlocking the screen under the table. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the message-a photo from Billie. Her heart raced as she opened it, her eyes widening in surprise and desire. Billie was completely bare from the waist up, her full breasts exposed, her skin glowing in the soft light of her room. Luna, Billie's cat, was curled up on her chest, napping peacefully as if she had no idea how bold the photo was.

Lexi felt heat rush to her face, her pulse quickening. She glanced around the table, making sure no one else had noticed. Her parents were still engrossed in conversation, oblivious to the fire burning inside her. She locked her phone quickly, her mind racing with how she could get out of the room without raising suspicion.

"I, um... I need to grab something from my room," Lexi said, her voice sounding more casual than she felt. She pushed back her chair and stood, avoiding the gaze of her parents as she made her way down the hall.

Once in her room, she closed the door behind her, leaning against it for a moment to catch her breath. The image of Billie was seared into her mind, her body alive with anticipation.

A few minutes later, there was a soft knock on her door.

Lexi opened it, and there stood Billie, her eyes dark with mischief. Without a word, Billie stepped inside, closing the door softly behind her. Lexi barely had time to process before Billie's lips were on hers, soft and insistent. The kiss was slow at first, but it quickly deepened, their bodies pressing together with an urgency that had been building for weeks.

Lexi's hands roamed Billie's back, her fingers grazing the smooth skin she had seen in the photo, while Billie's hands found their way into Lexi's hair, tugging gently as their lips moved in sync. The world outside seemed to blur as they lost themselves in each other, the heat between them building with every touch, every breath.

Lexi's hand slipped under Billie's sweater, her fingertips brushing the curve of Billie's waist when-

"Girls? Are you here?"

Lexi's mom's voice broke through the haze of their kiss, and they froze, their lips still just barely touching, both of them breathless.

"I-uh-we're here!" Lexi called, her voice shaky. She quickly pulled her hand away from Billie, stepping back as she adjusted her clothes.

Her mom's footsteps came closer, and a moment later, there was a knock at the door. Lexi opened it just a crack, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Everyone's heading out soon. Are you two going to say goodbye?" her mom asked, her voice light, completely unaware of what she had just interrupted.

"Yeah, we'll be right out," Lexi said, managing a smile as she tried to calm her racing pulse.

Once her mom's footsteps had retreated, Lexi and Billie exchanged a glance, both of them stifling quiet laughter. The moment had been interrupted, but the tension between them still hung in the air, thick and heavy.

"We'll finish this later," Lexi whispered, her lips brushing Billie's ear as she pulled her close for one more lingering kiss.

Billie blushed but nodded, her eyes full of promise.

They made their way back to the living room, where their families were preparing to leave. Billie's parents were thanking Lexi's for the wonderful evening, their coats already on. Shark barked excitedly, tugging at his leash, eager to head outside. The families exchanged goodbyes, laughing about how well the night had gone.

As Billie and her family stood by the door, Billie glanced back at Lexi one last time, her eyes filled with everything they hadn't said.

Shark barked one last time before pulling Billie out the door, her family waving goodbye. Lexi stood by the door, watching them leave, her heart racing with the thought of what was to come next.
