The room was filled with a soft, golden glow as the morning sun filtered through the curtains. Rose woke up to the gentle warmth of the new day, feeling Alexander's comforting arm draped over her waist and his body pressed close against hers. The steady rise and fall of his chest against her back was soothing, reminding her of the emotional intimacy they had shared the night before. They weren't quite ready for physical intimacy yet.

Careful not to disturb his sleep, Rose turned slowly to face Alexander. His peaceful face in slumber contrasted sharply with the intense, stormy expressions she had seen so often. She brushed a strand of hair from his forehead, her touch light and affectionate.

Sensing her gaze, Alexander slowly opened his eyes and met hers with a sleepy smile. "Good morning," he murmured in his husky and warm voice.

"Good morning," Rose replied, feeling her heart swell with affection. She leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips, filled with the promise of the new day and the unspoken words of their growing bond.

Alexander tightened his hold on her, pulling her closer. "Last night was..." he began, his words trailing off as he searched for the right expression.

"Perfect," Rose finished for him, her smile widening. "It was perfect."

He chuckled softly, the deep sound vibrating through his chest. "Yes, it was. Waking up next to you... it's everything I've ever wanted."

They lay there for a few moments, simply enjoying the quiet intimacy of the morning. The world outside Alexander's bedroom seemed distant and unimportant, their connection the only thing that mattered.

Suddenly, the bedroom door burst open, and Loid, Emmett, and Elara barged in, their faces a mix of concern and urgency.

"Alpha! Rose!" Elara exclaimed; her eyes wide with worry. "Did you two...?"

Rose sat up quickly, her face flushing with embarrassment. "Elara! What are you doing here?"

Loid stepped forward, his expression serious. "We were worried. You both disappeared last night and when you didn't come out this morning, we thought... well, we thought something might have happened."

Emmett nodded, looking slightly sheepish. "We just wanted to make sure everything was okay."

Alexander's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with irritation. He sat up, fixing his friends with a stern look. "What you thought doesn't give you the right to burst into my room without permission. This is a private space, and you need to respect that."

Elara's face softened with relief, but she quickly sobered at Alexander's tone. "We're sorry, Alpha. We were just worried about you and Rose."

Loid let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. "Good. I'm glad to hear that you're still grumpy. We just wanted to make sure you're both okay."

Alexander looked at Loid, his expression still stern. "Thank you for your concern. Really. But we're fine. We're figuring things out, one step at a time. And what the hell is that supposed to mean?"

Loid chuckled dopily as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Nothing you wouldn't attack me for."

Elara smiled, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Well, so you know, you have our full support. And if you ever need... advice... you know where to find us."

Rose gasped loudly before throwing a pillow at Elara. "GOD! Elara hush!" Her face was bright red; honestly, it should have been concerning how red she got.

Elara dodged the pillow with a laugh. "Hey, just looking out for you two!"

Alexander's patience was running out as he narrowed his eyes. "That's enough. I understand your concern, but this is our private space. Please remember to knock next time."
