The clash between Soundwave and the Autobots raged on, the cargo hold an arena of blasts and sparks. You strained against your restraints, every instinct telling you to fight, to help him, but the restraints kept you immobilized. Your optics darted between Soundwave and the Autobots, the desperation rising in your chest. This couldn't be how it ended—not here, not like this.
Prowl fired again, his blaster lighting up the darkened hold, but Soundwave was already moving. Despite his injuries, his movements were precise, calculated. With a swift, brutal strike, he sent Prowl crashing into a wall, the Autobot's systems flickering under the force of the impact. But there were others—Ironhide and Bumblebee were already closing in, their weapons trained on Soundwave.
"Soundwave, you have to go!" you shouted, your voice raw with urgency. You could see how badly he was hurt, how every move he made was slower, more forced. He couldn't take them all on. Not in this state.
But he didn't retreat. He never did.
With a fierce blast from his cannon, Soundwave sent Ironhide staggering back, but Bumblebee took the opportunity to get in close, landing a blow to Soundwave's side. The noise of metal on metal reverberated through the hold, and you felt your spark lurch as Soundwave stumbled.
"No!" you shouted, pulling harder against your restraints. They wouldn't budge, but the fire inside you grew hotter, angrier. You couldn't just sit here and watch.
Then, a surge of adrenaline hit you—a sudden, almost instinctual urge to act. You didn't know how to control this new form, not fully, but you didn't care. You pushed all your frustration, your fear, and your anger into that single need to break free.
The restraints groaned under the pressure, the metal bending as you threw your full weight against them. With a burst of energy, your limbs tore through the bindings, sending shards of metal flying.
You were free.
Before the Autobots could react, you lunged forward, your body shifting in mid-air as you transformed into your jaguar form. The sleek, metallic body felt powerful, like a second skin wrapping around your core. The transformation happened in an instant—fluid and natural, like instinct.
You landed between Soundwave and the Autobots, your jaguar form crouched low, growling with a ferocity you didn't know you had. Bumblebee hesitated, his blaster wavering as he took in the sight of you—something that wasn't quite Decepticon, wasn't quite anything they had ever seen before.
Without waiting for them to regroup, you launched yourself at Bumblebee, your claws tearing through the air with precision. He tried to dodge, but you were faster, more agile. The impact sent him tumbling to the ground, his systems sparking as he scrambled to recover.
Ironhide fired at you, but you were already moving, darting around his attacks with an ease that surprised even you. The jaguar form felt like it had always been yours, every movement a perfect balance of power and grace. You lashed out with your tail, the spiked end slashing across Ironhide's chest, leaving deep gashes in the Autobot's armor.
But the fight wasn't over. Even as you held the Autobots at bay, you knew this wasn't sustainable. They would regroup, and there were too many of them. You couldn't fight them all. Not for long.
You turned to Soundwave, who was struggling to stand. His visor flickered, his body battered and smoking from the relentless onslaught. He was barely holding himself together.
"We need to go," you growled, your voice low and urgent, even in this form. "Now."
Soundwave hesitated for only a moment, his visor meeting your gaze, and in that silent exchange, you both knew there was no time to argue. Without another word, you moved toward him, your jaguar form shifting as you grabbed him with your powerful jaws, lifting his frame onto your back with surprising ease.
The Autobots were starting to recover, but you didn't wait for them to attack again. With Soundwave secure, you sprinted out of the cargo hold, your body moving faster than you thought possible. The ship's corridors blurred as you navigated your way through, dodging blaster fire and debris as the Autobots scrambled to pursue you.
The cold night air hit you like a shock as you burst out of the ship, racing into the wilderness with Soundwave clinging to your back. The landscape was a blur of rocky terrain and jagged cliffs, the stars above casting a dim light over everything. But you didn't stop. You couldn't. Not until you were sure you were far enough away.
Your legs burned with the effort, but the jaguar form was built for this—speed, endurance, strength. It carried you and Soundwave with ease, even as your spark pounded in your chest.
Finally, after what felt like hours, you found a cave nestled into the side of a cliff. It was hidden, secluded, and for now, it would have to be enough.
You carefully lowered Soundwave onto the ground, your frame still humming with the adrenaline of the fight. He groaned softly as he hit the ground, his systems flickering as he tried to power down safely.
You shifted back into your humanoid form, panting heavily as the transformation settled. Your limbs felt heavy, your mind buzzing from the intensity of it all. But you couldn't focus on that now. Soundwave needed you.
You knelt beside him, your hands trembling slightly as you scanned his body for damage. It was bad. His armor was cracked, leaking energon in several places, and his systems were clearly overloaded from the fight.
"You'll be okay," you whispered, more to yourself than to him. "You'll be okay."
Soundwave's visor flickered, and for the first time in what felt like ages, he spoke—his voice low, distorted, but filled with something you couldn't quite name.
"Anon... safe."
You blinked, your chest tightening at the sound of your name from him. Even now, battered and broken, his first concern was you.
But all you could think about was the war, the endless cycle of violence that had brought you both to this point. The Autobots, the Decepticons—none of it made sense anymore. Why were you even fighting? What was the point of any of this if it only led to more pain, more loss?
You shook your head, pushing those thoughts away. You could question the war later. Right now, Soundwave needed you, and you weren't going to let him down.
Not this time.
