It was a rainy night, it was around 9 at night and Kim sunoo was in his bed, just sitting there, no talking, no moving, just there, listening to his parents fighting again. Obviously it wasn't the first time, he should be getting used to it...but for some reason...it still hurts.
Couple years ago, everything was fine. But ever since he turned 17, things started to go downhill. His parents fighting, Him falling into depression and anxiety, it was just too much to handle. He snapped out of his thoughts and started texting his best friend for comfort... Choi minji.

He waited for her to get online. Even though he knew that she was with her parents, having a nice time and eating dinner together as a nice family. Choi minji grew up with nice understanding parents. Her parents did have their ups and downs but they bearly fought.
She still hamgs out with them, since she's the only child, she is their pride and joy. But yet, she still somehow feels... empty. Many things happening around her that she couldnt explain. Her parents help her in anyway possible, but nothing yet.
Sunoo never knew how it felt like to have understanding parents that don't fight and actually listen to him and his problems. Sometimes, he felt jealous of minji and her relationship with her parents, something he never had.

He answered the call and was instantly greeted by Minjis warming, gummy smile. She was sitting in her desk chair, white oversized shirt and black shorts. Her hair in a low bun and her bangs in her face. Her nose slightly pink from her nose runny all day since it was allergie session. Everything of her making him blush.
"Hey sunoooo!" She greeted him as she waved through the phone. He giggled and responded back with a raspy voice "Hey MinMin". Her smile flatter slightly when she heard his parents still fighting in the background, he just shaked his head and spoke again "Sorry about that...hold up let me close the door real quick."
He got up and walked to his bedroom door. He grabbed the handle to close it but stayed there for a moment to listen. His dad yelling and his mom yelling back with her voice shaking, like she was crying. His heart shattered, tears swelled up in his eyes but quickly wiped them away, closed his door and went back to minji, who was still in the call.
She gave him a small sad smile and spoke up "hey, how bout we skip school tomorrow and go somewhere else?". He thought for a second, it did sound risky but he didn't hesitate "yeah sure! I need to get something off my mind" he responded with a small chuckle.
She smile and nodded "yeah, me too ngl. But maybe this will help...!" He really needed this...
