"Eunhye!"

"Good morning, Eunhye!"

As Eunhye entered the school with a cheerful smile, a flurry of morning greetings came her way. "Good morning!" she replied to each friendly face.

Eunhye made her way to her usual circle, where Haeryeong and Eunbyul were deep in conversation about a new guy who had them both intrigued and apprehensive.

"EUNHYE!" Eunbyul exclaimed as she spotted her approach.

"Hi, guys!" Eunhye said, beaming as she hugged her friends.

"Have you heard about the new guy, Park Wonbin?" Haeryeong asked, her curiosity piqued.

"No, who's that?" Eunhye replied, puzzled.

"REALLY? Girl, you are so out of the loop! He's all anyone can talk about. He's incredibly handsome, but there's something mysterious about him that makes people wary. He's kind of like the new outcast," Eunbyul whispered conspiratorially.

"And Eunhye, he keeps staring at some girls. You might be next! Keep your eyes peeled!" Haeryeong added, her tone a mix of excitement and caution.

"I doubt he's staring in a bad way," Eunhye said with a grin. "Maybe he just appreciates how pretty the girls are here! After all, our school is known for its beauty!" She felt a swell of pride at being part of this school.

"Ha! Very funny," Haeryeong said, rolling her eyes. "I'm heading to class now. Same spot for lunch! Bye!" And then she skipped away.

"Guess I'll head out too. See you at lunch, Eunhye!" Eunbyul waved before following her friend. Eunhye waved back and made her way to class.

Eunhye's POV

I entered the lecture hall and chose my favorite seat by the window, which offered a stunning view. I loved it here and couldn't imagine wanting to switch seats anytime soon.

As students filed in one by one, my gaze settled on an exceptionally attractive boy. He looked oddly familiar yet completely unfamiliar at the same time. Did I know him from somewhere?

Surprisingly, he took a seat behind me and pulled out his books. I felt an urge to ask if we knew each other, but it seemed awkward to bring it up.

Throughout the class, I couldn't shake the feeling that he was watching me. Was he staring? I turned slightly to glance at him, and he quickly averted his gaze. Was I really that captivating?

I faced forward again, but I sensed his gaze return. Frustration bubbled up inside me.

"What's your problem?" I asked, annoyance creeping into my voice.

"I'm sorry," he replied, and just like that, he stopped staring. Huh.

At the end of class, I felt an unexpected urge to approach him. It was amusing how a single comment had convinced him to stop staring. I gathered my courage and walked over.

"What do you want?" he asked, glancing at me as I fell into step beside him.

"What's your name?" I replied, smiling.

"Park Wonbin," he answered curtly. Not much of a talker, I noted. That was fine; I enjoyed chatting.

"You're not going to ask for my name?" I teased. He looked at me briefly before his gaze dropped to the floor.

"Okay, then! My name is Lee Eunhye. Nice to meet you!" I said cheerfully, sensing he wouldn't ask.

"Why are you talking to me?" He quickened his pace.

"Because I want to! Slow down, man; I'm tired!" It felt like I was chasing him as he picked up speed. "What class are you headed to?" I asked, trying to keep up.

"Chemistry," he replied.

"Same! Let's go together," I said, feeling a surge of enthusiasm.

Honestly, I worried I might be talking too much. He didn't seem eager for conversation. "Sorry for asking so many questions. I just wanted to be friends," I blurted out, feeling a bit guilty.

He stopped and turned to face me, finally meeting my eyes. "Don't apologize. It's fine; you're the first person to talk to me," he said.

I was taken aback. How could no one have spoken to him? Then I remembered what Haeryeong had said—he was considered an outcast because of how "mysterious" he acted.
