After that, we both went towards our classroom. When we got there, we saw that girl yelling at her. We shared a look and went towards our seats.

"I'm warning you, stay away from my Aarav," she said. This girl seriously has a death wish. When I looked at Siya, she was playing a game on her mobile, completely unfazed by what was being said.

"You How the hell are you ignoring me?" the girl shouted, snatching siya's mobile from her hand.

"Aishh, you idiot! I was about to complete that level and, what were you saying, darling Stay away from your Aarav.? First, ask your Aarav if he wants me to stay away from him," Siya said, moving towards me. What she did next surprised all of us.

"I'm sorry," she whispered and hugged me tightly. I hugged her back, knowing she was pretending to be strong in front of everyone, but I could tell she was scared and hurt. How badly I wanted her to stay like this with me, but then she backed off.

"I'm sorry for hugging you without your permission. I was just trying to save you from her. Why is she acting like your crazy ex.?" she asked, annoyed. Before I could say anything, our professor came in.

After college:-

"Hi, Di!"

"Hi, sweetheart."

"I'm tired. I just want to go home and sleep," Akshi said tiredly.

"Me too, but I can't. I've got work to do," Siya replied, making a tired face.

"Okay, you guys go ahead. I'm going to the cafe," I said, glancing at Ansh to signal him to take them away.

"Yes, guys, hurry up. I'm also tired," Ansh said, walking towards his car as the rest followed him.

"Uhm, bye. I'll see you at the cafe," Siya said and started walking away, but I held her wrist.

"We're going together, so go sit in the car."

"No, no. I can manage, and you're my boss I can't just go with you."

"Siya, I'm telling you one last time. If you don’t want me to pick you up, then go and sit in the car."

"Okay," she said, opening the back door.

"Oh, madam, do I look like your driver.? No right.? Then sit in the passenger seat," I said, glaring at her.

"You're irritating," she mumbled to herself.

"I heard that," I said while dialing Rits number.

"Good for you."

After two rings, she picked up.

"Yes, sir?"

"You have half the day off today you can go home. I’ll tell Siya as well, so no need to worry."

"Okay, thank you, sir."

I got into the car after hanging up.

"So, where are we going.?" she asked, annoyed.

"Don’t worry; I won’t take you to any hotel," I said with a smile.

"What do you mean? Wait, what? How could you even think that?" she said, clearly startled.

"For lunch," I said, trying my best to hide my laughter.

"Oh," she replied, embarrassed.

"Wait, what did you think.?" I asked teasingly.

"Nothing."

After that, neither of us said anything. It was a comfortable silence. I wished I could take her in my car every day, but of course, I couldn’t.

At the cafe:-

"Come on, we're here," I said, opening the door for her.

"But it's closed," she said, looking at the sign on the café.

"I know. Come on," I said, holding her hand. Damn, her small, cold, soft hand in my warm hand

"Why are your hands so cold.?" I asked, opening the door with the passcode. I could tell she was nervous it was obvious.

"Where's Rits.? Why isn't she here today.?" she asked, completely avoiding my question.

"She had some work, so she took a half day."

"Oh."

"Okay, go rest. I'll be in my cabin," I said, closing the door from the inside.

"Aarav, what are you doing, and why are you closing the door from the inside.?" she asked, almost panicked.

"You trust me, right?" I asked, placing a hand on her cheek.

"Yes," she said, and I could see she was being truthful.

People's mouths can lie, but their eyes can't.

"Okay, then. Go read the book you wanted, or go to sleep. Do whatever you like while I make something for you to eat." I knew she wanted to ask more questions, but before she could say anything, I left. Not before kissing her forehead, though. I decided to cook something for her because I knew she must be hungry. I hadn’t planned on giving anyone a half day, but the way she asked made me feel bad for her. I didn’t know why I was doing this for her, but it felt right.

I was considering what to make, but then I remembered she loves pasta, so I decided to make that for her.

After almost 30 minutes, the pasta was ready. I put it in two dishes and went outside. I went to her favorite place in the whole cafe, which was a couch near the window where you could see the beautiful garden behind the cafe. She was sleeping on the couch like a baby. She's too innocent for this world. I don't know how any parents could leave their kids alone in this cruel world. I couldn't imagine my life without my family. She looked so peaceful, but I needed to wake her up. After putting the pasta on the side table, I gently called her.

"Siya."

"Sunshine."

"Hmm."

"Get up. You need to eat something. After that, you can sleep again."

"Hmm," she mumbled, resting her head on my lap. I didn't know how to react she was the second girl after my princess who had ever done this.

"I'm sleepy let me sleep, please," she said in a sleepy voice.

"I know, bachha, but you need to eat, and I made your favorite pasta."

"Pasta?" As soon as she heard the word 'pasta,' she woke up instantly.

"Where’s the pasta?" she asked, her eyes wide open.

"Here," I said, pointing to the table.

That’s when she realized she had been sleeping on my lap.

"I'm sorry, I didn’t know I was sleeping on your lap, really!" she said, her eyes almost teary.
