The backyard was filled with the buzz of laughter, excited chatter, and the occasional clink of glasses. The air was warm, and the sky was a perfect, cloudless blue, setting the stage for what was supposed to be a happy, life-changing moment. My dad, Jordan's parents, Claire, and a few close friends were gathered around the patio, all waiting with anticipation for the big reveal.
Jordan stood beside me, his hand resting protectively on the small curve of my baby bump. His thumb absentmindedly brushed against the fabric of my sundress, and even though his expression was calm, I could feel the excitement radiating from him. This moment was big for both of us, a sign that our lives were moving forward, that we were becoming more than just two people caught up in something unexpected.
"Are you ready for this?" Jordan whispered, leaning down to kiss the top of my head.
I smiled, my heart fluttering. "I think so."
Everyone was gathered around a large balloon, the kind that would pop and reveal either pink or blue inside. Jordan had been the one to arrange it, his way of surprising both me and our families with the big news. I hadn't wanted to know the gender until today, and the suspense was killing me.
"Okay, everyone!" Jordan's mom called out, clapping her hands to gather attention. "It's time!"
Claire giggled with excitement, her eyes glued to the balloon as she stood next to my dad, who had his arms crossed but a small smile tugging at his lips. He had come a long way since finding out about the pregnancy-and about Jordan and me. There had been plenty of heated arguments, but eventually, he accepted our relationship. Seeing him here today, actually supporting this moment, meant more than I could say.
"Go ahead, you two," Claire urged, practically bouncing on her heels.
Jordan handed me the needle that would pop the balloon, and we exchanged a quick look before turning our attention to the waiting crowd. My hands trembled slightly with nerves, but when Jordan squeezed my hand reassuringly, I knew everything would be okay.
"On three," he said. "One, two... three!"
I popped the balloon, and as it burst open, a cascade of light blue confetti rained down around us, filling the air with a whirlwind of joy.
"It's a boy!" Claire screamed, her voice echoing above the cheers of everyone else. The whole group burst into applause and shouts of excitement, my dad even laughing as he clapped me on the back.
I stood there in shock for a moment, taking it all in. A boy. I was going to have a son. My heart swelled with so many emotions at once-joy, fear, excitement. And when I turned to Jordan, the look on his face said it all. His eyes were shining with pride, and without a word, he pulled me into a tight hug, kissing me deeply.
"I can't believe it," I whispered against his lips, my smile unstoppable.
"I know," he said, his voice filled with awe. "We're having a boy."

Later, after everyone had left and the house was quiet, Jordan and I retreated inside. We hadn't been alone all day, and the weight of the moment-finding out we were going to have a son-was still sinking in.
"You know," Jordan said, his voice low and playful as we made our way to the master bathroom, "I think we should celebrate."
I raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on my lips. "Celebrate how?"
He grinned, pulling me into the bathroom, where the sound of water filling the shower greeted us. "I was thinking something... a little steamy."
The heat between us had been simmering all day, ever since the gender reveal, and now that we were finally alone, I could feel it intensifying. Jordan started undressing me slowly, his hands lingering over my skin, his touch sending shivers down my spine.
I let out a soft sigh as he kissed my neck, my shoulders, his lips trailing down as he helped me out of my dress. Soon, we were both naked, and he guided me under the warm spray of the shower, the water cascading over our bodies as we pressed together.
"God, you're so beautiful," Jordan murmured, his hands running over my curves, his touch gentle but possessive. "I can't get enough of you."
His words sent a rush of heat through me, and I leaned into him, our wet bodies sliding against each other as the water poured down. I could feel his hardness pressed against me, and the need building between us was undeniable.
"Then don't hold back," I whispered, my voice low and breathless.
Jordan's hands gripped my hips, spinning me so that my back was pressed against the cool tile wall. His mouth claimed mine in a deep, hungry kiss, his tongue tangling with mine as his fingers dug into my skin. The water splashed around us, the steam rising in the small space as our bodies came together with a frantic need.
"Fuck, Hailey," Jordan groaned, his voice rough as he pulled me closer. His hands slid down my sides, gripping my thighs as he lifted me effortlessly, pinning me against the wall. "I need you."
I gasped as he entered me, his hard length filling me completely, and I wrapped my legs around him, pulling him deeper. The sensation was overwhelming, the heat, the intensity, the sound of the water and our heavy breathing blending together into something primal.
"Jordan... oh god," I moaned, my fingers digging into his shoulders as he started to move, thrusting into me with a desperate rhythm.
"Fuck," he groaned, his pace quickening as he drove into me again and again, his grip tightening on my hips. "You feel so fucking good."
The pleasure built quickly, my body responding to every thrust, every kiss, every touch. I could feel myself spiraling toward the edge, and when Jordan reached between us, his fingers brushing against my most sensitive spot, it was enough to push me over.
I cried out, my body trembling as the orgasm washed over me, and Jordan followed soon after, his hips bucking against me as he found his release with a low growl.
For a few moments, we stayed like that, our bodies pressed together under the spray of the shower, both of us breathless and spent.
As the water continued to pour down, Jordan kissed me softly, his lips gentle against mine. "I love you," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of the water.
"I love you too," I whispered back, my heart swelling with the truth of the words.
