Vinnie almost dropped his phone to the floor.

Never in a million years did he expect for Angel to be replying to his stories, and sure as hell not a message like the one she sent. They were always interacting, with Vinnie doing the flirting and her giving the standoffish energy back, enough that had him crawling back for more.

But the message staring back at him now did not fit the unspoken agreement they had - this was very much her flirting and Vinnie having no idea what to say back.

"You good bro?" Jordan's voice nearly had him launching from his skin.

Vinnie's eyes skimmed over the message a few more hundred times, unsure what to say back. Every word in the english language had escaped his mind at this point, coming up blank.

So he did what he does best - pulled up Google and found the first smiling face meme and sent it right back to her.

She left it on read. For no reason other than the fact that, amidst celebrating the announcement of her new album, her and the girls had gone overboard on the wine, resulting in six empty bottles on the table, empty containers of thai food, and a movie playing mindlessly on the TV.

Angel wasn't sure what went through her mind when she replied to Vinnie's story, only that her jaw dropped many levels when she opened his story, and in her drunken stupor the only thing she could think was to send his story to the girls' groupchat and emphasise her attraction towards him. But a slip of the fingers and an unaware phone-operator resulted in the blonde girl having no clue that the message went to Vinnie himself. Or that he saw it. Or that he replied.
