First things first. I'm not dead (yet). The chapters are still in progress. I will be continuing this story.
Bad news. The word count is exceeding what was expected. And I'm not even done with the chapter 1 rewrite. Turns out, trying to make this stuff less of an info-dump is way harder than expected. By how much? I'm like 4K words from exceeding the entire word count for this fic atm.
And I'm only 33% done with chapter 1.
I will try to get chapter 1 before Halloween, though. Big emphasis on 'try'. Enough bad news. I got some good news!
